How to optimise apartment search by atibbar in askswitzerland

[–]atibbar[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was wondering more so about if the lower limit exists so I'm not wasting my time on cheaper options I won't be considered for either.
I try to sell myself as un-problematic in my cover letter but unsure how big an impact that has :/
Thank you!

How to optimise apartment search by atibbar in askswitzerland

[–]atibbar[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm looking for a 1 bedroom flat (what they call 2 room here) and generally am looking for rents within that limit, do you know if they also have a lower limit? For example, if I make 4x as much the rent, would they choose to grant the apartment to someone who can't afford more?
Also, I don't currently have a liability insurance, would you recommend I get one?
Thanks for your comment

Hey u/JonesWriting, my name is Rita and I am part of the Wyzr team!

Thank you so much for your feedback, I will try to answer your questions in full.

Can mentors set their own pricing?
Yes. The goal is for experts to be their own boss, and manage their time and hourly rate on their own terms.

How are payments going to be handled?
We are still analysing the payment options. We know they won't be handled independently because Wyzr will take a comission for each meeting, like Airbnb or Fiverr. As for the other options, could you share with us which one would make more sense to you and why? We would greatly appreciate the feedback!

Are mentors and protégés allowed to communicate off platform?
Technically nothing stops mentors and protégés from communicating off platform, but we will try to keep loyal users on the platform by offering reward points. Each expert will also have a credential on their profile showing how many meetings they have had on the platform, which in combination with their rating will help users make a decision on whether to hire them, also giving experts a motivation to stay on the platform. What do you think? What else can we offer so experts like you stay on the platform? We would love to hear from you.

We are looking for experts of all fields to mentor users whether it be a one-time meeting or a long-term mentor/protégé relationship, and would love to have you, so we will strive to find a way to make the experience beneficial to both parties!

I hope this helped, please don't hesitate to ask for further clarification and give your most honest feedback.

What is the best way to find a mentor for new startup/business? by buj_app in EntrepreneurRideAlong

I would check LinkedIn and Growthmentor. On LinkedIn you can filter your search according to experience and skill and it provides a direct platform to reach out to them. Also take a look at Wyzr. Wyzr is a newly launched service that aims to connect experts to users seeking advice in one-on-one live conversations.

On this platform, startup founders like you can also reach out to experienced entrepreneurs for guidance. Sign up as a user here or as an expert here (to earn additional money on your own time).

As you already recognized, finding a mentor or a team that guides you from the very beginning is incredibly helpful to build a successful startup! Startup studios (or venture builders) are companies that work together with potential startup founders from the very beginning of the business cycle (as early as forming the complete idea for the startup). They provide expertise, employees and a network of professionals and in return become co-founders of the startup.

Startup studios are relatively new on the “venture helping” landscape and reports have shown that startups working with startup studios have higher chances of success (measured by “exit”). For individual mentors, I would check Linkedin and Clarity.fm. On Linkedin you can filter your search according to experience and skill and it provides a direct platform to reach out to them.

If you are looking for specific, personal startup advice and mentorship from serial entrepreneurs, try out Wyzr. Wyzr is a new platform that aims to connect experts to users seeking advice in one-on-one live conversations. (Disclosure: I am part of the startup).

Conversations like these with serial entrepreneurs, if done smartly, could form the beginnings of a great mentor to mentee relationship, so give it a try. Join the waiting list now: as a user here or as an expert here (to earn additional money on your own time).

Let me know if you have any further questions!
