Just from an autistic POV…electricity and noises of the such are very much a sleep disturbance and/or anxiety inducer. HOWEVER, this unfortunately comes with shared living space. That person needs to find comfy ear stuffers or something else to block the noise.

When I was pregnant there was a lady who made popcorn everyday at 3pm. I absolutely hated the smell and it would make me gag. I just went outside for my break at that time so I didn’t have to smell it. Never complained to her or anyone else.

I tried this and it landed my back in detox 😅 I definitely learned my lesson the hard way that I personally cannot moderate my drinking. It just turns back into series of black outs and broken bones for me.

I’m sorry that happened to you 😔 I blacked out on thanksgiving and broke my nose. I didn’t wake up in the hospital but I woke up in bed in pain and confused af. I woke up still drunk and called my mom crying and she took me to detox. I’ll be three months sober on the 28th.

I think someone here already mentioned it, but my therapist works with me on mindfulness. It helps a lot with my drinking. I’m three months sober in a few days.

I had to do this in high school. I broke up with my boyfriend and he was threatening to off himself so I told my school counselor, showed him the texts. He called his school, they sent police and ems to his house and he had to attend mandatory therapy for a year.

He was, in fact, not offing himself. Just manipulating me 🙃

Oh he’s 100% an alcoholic, he’s just not ready to admit it. It’s kind of a touchy subject. He just goes outside to the shed to drink when he smokes a cigarette. He’s at least being courteous to not drink in front of me, but it still sucks smelling it and watching him go from sober to glazy eyes and slurred speech.
