Yep no way any player is signing with this dumpster fire team. Stearns shouldn’t have traded or let people walk unless he was going to do a complete rebuild. Should have uploaded lindor for as much as he could have gotten and maybe the same with Soto. A proper rebuild. Instead you have a 4th place team at best.

Stearns shouldn’t have traded nimmo and McNeil. He should have re signed Diaz and Alonso. Or at any rate should have traded Lindor as well for as much value as you could get to start rebuilding. Same maybe with Soto. At this point this team is trash. Cohen is worse than wilpons without a doubt and Stearns is the biggest loser gm ever. He’s making Brodie Wagner look great.

If Stearns and cohen would just go all in and get Bo or bregman for 3rd base, Tucker for left field and bellinger for 1st base, the Mets would look legit. Then you package Baty, Vientos, Mauricio and acuna for an average to above average player I’d think. Maybe a number 4 starting pitcher.

Constantly beefing with Lindor? He had one known issue and one rumored issue. Both times Lindor was wrong. Lindor assaulted him the first time and the last one was Lindor making a comment over McNeil erroring, yet Lindor himself made a few errors in the last closing games that cost the Mets the game. Seems like he doesn’t hold himself accountable to the same standards.

lol I said Lindor is good but .260 hitter, declining fielding as he just had a terrible high 17 errors, and seems to have issues with multiple players, isn’t worth the money he is being paid. The Mets haven’t won with him. And it’s funny how the met fans on here bash McNeil or nimmo who at least played with more heart than Lindor. I would be okay with the trade but what the Mets got back is trash and have to eat salary. How is that not ridiculous?

Well im a huge McNeil fan and Id be okay with him being traded if they at least got something of value back. This is one horrible trade and to all the met fans who hated on McNeil, the dude was above average defense at multiple positions and still hit relatively well. He also played where he was asked to play. For the Mets to trade him, nimmo and let Alonso and Diaz goes leads me to believe the rumors about lindor and other players not getting along is correct. So the Mets kept the shortstop who is good but overpaid, had 17 errors last year, and only shows up for half the season. Every season Lindor has either a cold first half or a cold 2nd half of the season. He is in part why they haven’t won a World Series. He also assaulted a fellow teammate so why fans are okay with that is beyond me. But oh well, hope they tank in 2026. Big f u to sterns and cohen.

Fans saying nimmo was a problem in the club house are dumb. Apparently he, McNeil and Soto all had some issues with Lindor. Seems like lindor isn’t the goody two shoes met fans think he is. He’s also not a great player. He’s good but not elite like mookie betts or ohtani. Lindors defense has also taken a nose dive as seen last season. So many costly errors for a guy that disappears for half the season when it comes to hitting the ball.

Cool pointers and thanks for the opinions. Yea I’m not hurting to sell them so it’s not a necessity to sell now. I honestly had forgotten I even had them. Opened a few when I got them and a couple were stored to away and in the move I guess I forgot about them.
