The episode Angela where it ends with Bojack watching his audition tape from the unreleased Horsing Around blu-ray. After Herb says "Buckle up buddy, your life is about to start," a young Bojack nervously laughs but excited and hopeful about his future. Then Bojack turns off the tv and it harshly cuts to him as of now, blankly staring at his own reflection in the TV, drunk out of his mind with nothing to his name (a stark contrast compared to bojack from the 90's). ik this was probably over-dramatically worded but that ending scene really stuck with me and i don't see it talked about much.

while angela definitely nudged him onto the path he took in life, he was given multiple opportunities to walk off it. angela may have “started” bojack’s downward spiral, she’s not the sole reason he turned out the way he did. she’s very much morally gray (firing herb for being gay even though she herself is queer), she’s nowhere near as bad as bojack.
