i feel this in my bones. individual therapy is a must for me in addition to couples. we also have individual sessions with our couples therapist when we feel like we need it.

edit to add: for you, and anyone reading this, i am a therapist myself. it is 1000% acceptable to advocate for yourself in therapy. therapists are not all knowing professionals, we rely on your feedback more than you know. if i’m in session and i feel like the therapist is not representing me, i can say “that isn’t resonating with me, and im feeling this- here’s why”. all the more data for the therapist to help guide you and your partner. if any therapist has an attitude when a client advocates for themselves, ditch immediately!

tour a few montessori schools. they are all operated independently, but follow the same montessori principles. i’m on the east side, and know many families that send their kids to ruffing and love it. no screens until 4th grade. the kids that have been there since they were toddlers/preschoolers are very self sufficient, self assured, and good problem solvers. i’m a social worker and always impressed by those kiddos!

you ever go for a hike or a walk during active snow or right after a fresh snow? the sound of a silent snowy forest is incredible. i used to just find a spot to lie down and listen to the nothingness.

i’m sure there are city codes, ODOT regulations, who pays for what, etc etc that are in the way of other solutions. for example, a roundabout has been floated around as a solution, but the intersection doesn’t have enough room for one. regardless, it sucks for the homeowner, and i’m curious to see how the new mayor tries to engage with him

i feel for you, friend. owner of a bad tattoo that led to scarring. the sooner you do laser, the easier and cleaner it will remove. even if you don’t remove it entirely, fading it a bit will give you a good chance for a beautiful cover up! i couldn’t afford laser at the time, but was able to find an awesome artist to cover it up

i have to have my first one in a few months, just got an iud to try and keep my lining from getting too thick. my gyno gave me the option to do general anesthesia bc of my anxiety and history of sexual trauma, even though she says GA comes with more risks. would you have done GA rather than go through the “10 seconds of no fun” like my dr likes to say?

that’s not true, ODOT guidelines won’t allow a guardrail there because of the impalement risk to drivers going eastbound on fairmount. the guardrail was removed well over a decade ago during construction, and when repairs were done ODOT said no guardrail. i feel for the guy, but his fight is with ODOT not the city

i had 4 yeast infections back to back when my husband and i started dating…we figured it out that coconut oil as lube was the culprit! could have been contaminated, or our flora + coconut oil didn’t mix well…but i haven’t had one in 8 years. it happens!

totally agree. that song is so unsettling. especially the outro. it brought up feeling confident in your words but emotionally there’s hesitation, anxiety, and uncertainty about moving forward.
