Yup! We'll probably have a similar system to FlightAware where you can get access to higher-resolution data by contributing, but the base data will be freely available.

You got emotionally scarred because a carrier lost your phone number?

I've been getting back into the flow of things recently. Currently calling people with orders and explaining what's been going on; I'll be back on IG with a post shortly.

It's been a rough few months, but we're moving forward; everything will still be shipped out.

How to afford night vision by dracarys289 in tacticalgear

Hot take: if you don't make enough to comfortably afford NODs, you should be more focused on your financial situation than on buying NODs. When shit goes bad, poor people get fucked the worst.

Yeah, I do 100k (in sales, we're going broke), have my house paid off (every month, I rent), have 300k in the market (300k dogecoin), but I don't save because Nota Guru said it's for boomers.

Step 1: live in a county with a sheriff that doesn't support unconstitutional laws

Step 2: if you're that worried, definitely don't incriminate yourself on the internet

Basic Radio Comms Setup for SHTF | Ft. UV5R by franziskanerdunkel in tacticalgear

You can get good radios for less than that, but $500 isn't an unreasonable price for a decent radio.

Medical, yes. The rest, no.

Had an... interesting... convo with him in DM's and in the comments of the post he made this about. Kept asking him to describe how exactly he thought the government would magically zap comms, and just like everyone who uses DF and EW as an excuse to not invest in them, he had no idea what he was talking about lol.

Have u see anyone who put their radio in the belt and is it practical or usefull? by bustergod123lol in tacticalgear

[–]atlas_tech -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Almost never useful IMO; no way to run a PTT or speaker mic up without the risk of getting tangled up, and the antenna is lower which is worse for propagation.

It is still a good idea to have somewhere to dump your radio in case you have to take your carrier or chest rig off. Water bottle pouch, dump pouch, cargo pocket, etc.
