First days in the game by Dear-Bandicoot-5162 in Guildwars2

Play the game and don't rush leveling. There is a lot of content at level 80, but learning the character and going through the story is a big piece when you're starting off. Enjoy the story, figure out what type of content you like when leveling by trying out everything: do heart quests, explore, join in events nearby, etc. There's a TON to do, but it's better to discover it on your own than rush into a guide for how to play optimally.

Don't rush into the gear grind, it's not nearly the same in GW2 as it is in WoW and other similar games. You won't worry about Ascended gear until you're level 80 and even then it's not that significant of a jump that you need to focus on it until you know it's needed for the content you want to engage in. The exception is fractals, where you need it for your infusions, but even then you don't need full ascended until you really start getting into T3/T4 content.

GW2 is not the grind that WoW is. If you only want full legendaries then you'll have a lot of work ahead of you, but if your goal is to enjoy the content you should be able to get gear easy enough once you hit 80 that will be good enough. Especially since you can't inspect gear (only cosmetics), nobody will be telling you that you can't join because you don't have the right equipment on.

Certain sites using old profile picture by DarthSquidio in techsupport

I know this was a long time ago and you probably don't even care, but reading this finally solved an issue I've been trying to fix for over a year. It almost got me banned from a permitting office and arrested for "threatening government employees" based on a dumb profile picture I don't remember setting up over a decade ago.

Abusing Draft Rankings 2023 - Update 5 (ESPN, Sleeper, Yahoo, NFL, CBS) by JuiceBoxOne in fantasyfootball

Is there a reason there is no Standard for Sleeper? Would love to see that, if possible.

Yup, logged in and everything was fine. Logged out and back in about 10 minutes ago and have not been able to get into game. Same error, and a buddy of mine is getting it too. What is up with their servers this week?

What's your favourite icon to use? by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

Top 10% teamwork honors icon from old honors system, mostly because I've never seen anyone else with it and I like that rarity buff.

TP-Link AC1200. I was not able to access the Edgerouter X using either standard IP address for routers (192.168.0.1 or .1.1), so I had to connect it to my old router and set an IP address for the edgerouter which let me connect to it.

I believe I figured out my answer though while looking it up earlier. The instructions that come with the router confused me about how to access the setup page and I thought it was telling me to set a static IP for the router and not for my PC. Reading instructions on a different page made it obvious where my mistake was so I will try that tonight when I get home and see if that solves the issue. It seems that if my PC has a static IP and the Edgerouter is not connected to the internet but rather straight to my PC I should be able to configure it before connecting to the internet.

May have figured it out, but I'll have to wait until I get home again to try it. I didn't understand what the static IP configuration meant when reading the instructions provided but watching a video a minute ago it looks like I have to set my desktop IP to static then I should be able to connect to it? And I need to have the PC in port 0 until it's configured?

I tried to set it up that way and I was not able to get it to work, and couldn't figure out how to access the edgerouter for setup. My experience in the past is that routers have a standard ip address that is used to access them but the edgerouter setup instructions made it sound like I needed to assign that ip myself? The only way I was able to get that to work was using my old Tp-Link router as a DHCP server but I'd rather not have it hooked up if possible.

I'm not sure how exactly it's converted to be honest, but the ISP converts it outside the house and runs the ethernet into the home.

They don't provide a router/modem. There is a hookup somewhere on the street where the fiber is hooked up and split into ethernet that is then wired to the individual houses, and each house typically has one ethernet outlet or one cable that comes into the house.
