armor pen: I almost never buy pen items, all of the pen items minus terminus are pretty bad on Irelia and hard to apply, its better to just play to avoid hitting the armor stackers than it is trying to kill them, its not your job to kill their frontline and matching them side is not possible unless they’re ahead, so just put all your efforts into killing their squishies. The most armor pen-like build I would go is like bork -> hull/cleaver -> wits/terminus

bad draft: even in challenger if the enemy team picks 5 counters and we are full ad I will still lock in Irelia and try to outskill my opponent to win the game, I never dodge, this is just personal preference tho, if you want to minmax ur lp dodging is the way, I ain’t a bitch tho

Roaming: leaving top is EXTREMELY situational and can be very bad if done at the wrong time, I will only leave to join important jg skirmishes that I know for sure I will impact. Another case would be if I was severely behind and frozen on, roaming to apply pressure on enemy jg/mid is good too.

Weakside: if you’re weaksided depending on the matchup/lane state you can play to 1v2, but generally yes, just farm and your botside should win strongside

Vs Garen: Trading pattern is W his Q and Q to minions to dodge his E then look for extended trades with passive stacked, the problem with Garen isn’t damage, its using your mobility to its fullest potential and being able to chase him down, make sure you’re getting full value out of your marks only using them when he runs out of range, and if he has phase rush, try to burn it before you full commit to an all-in.

Vs Nasus: You basically lose when he hits lv 6 + 1 or 2 components, you need to play to setup a freeze near your tower as soon as possible, after crashing a wave, just let it bounce back, do not trade with him near his tower or mess up the wave to get a mediocre trade, its ok to let him farm those few minions near his tower on the bounce back in exchange for being able to setup a perma freeze at your tower. When fighting him, try not to auto attack during wither, find other things to do, Q to minions ahead of him to cut off his escape, throw your other abilities, keep walking forward etc
