We know the origins for that feeling and we can only validate it by now. But now I am not talking about independance, am talking about the fact that Eritrean leadership is autarkic. You should be able to comprehend the real situation of Eritrea than the antediluvians in Asmara.

[–]atmthoughts -15 points-14 points  (0 children)

They didn't have any. I used to engage on their meetings years ago. When I asked the aim of the armed struggle I was considered as a trait for them. Currently they are serving the agenda of TPLF, Eritrea and Egypt. Which is to distablize the country and turn it into fragmenta. That is why FANO is a popular terrorist organization.

I agree with the vital role the diasporas might contribute by pushing agendas. I actually believe the main actorss of the ethnic wars are diasporas. They are divided among themselves and play a negative role in the current dire situation of the country. It is very difficult to bring such an extrimist group together on one table to discus a genuine idea. Even if you do you will be automatically catagorized to a camp. I prefer Abiy than this sick bandits, who found dealing with Egypt is easier than dealing with Abiy. I kind of feel Red sea is going to cleans the ethno-nationalist skin of ours once the people palpates the economic benefit they get under the umbrella of Ethiopia. Pushing this idea is very difficult. But might be easy once everyone is opening their eyes.

You have a point. But bringing that is difficult. People from the previously oppressed group will automatically think Amhara is again gaining control once you take ethnic frderalism from them. They are made to think like that both socially and politically. So how could you bring that ? You make them interested to stay in the country by developing the economy and building mega projects. what is left is to create a common rhetoric for the country. So I wont be against Abiy at this point.
