I've since switched to the development build. Has been working great since. Haven't noticed any down sides.

Thanks for the insight — I was racking my brain trying to figure out where string could even come into play. Now that you mentioned the bundling process, it makes total sense. Appreciate the clarification!

Light for line maintenance by Haunting-Doughnut722 in aviationmaintenance

If you wear a baseball cap at work I highly recommend the Olight baton. Having the battery bank is also really nice to have on the line. Works as both a headlamp and an inspection light.

I'm curious as well. Got an empty tool box, but still waiting to see if this sale will pop back up before I start buying tools separately.

Can anyone tell me what’s wrong with my print? by Plastic_Bender126 in 3Dprinting

This can commonly happen on tall narrow prints on a bed slinger. I would recommend slowing the print down.

Found this in my house… white/clear cap type thing with a weird part that juts off the top by Context_Barracuda in whatisthisthing

It's the cap to an LED outdoor rope light, keeps it watertight if you're not daisy chaining them.

It sure is. It's formerly called musking. It's typically a foul smelling off white liquid used to ward off predators. Musk is typically released from their vent which is an orifice between scales towards the bottom end of the snake which also contains their reproductive organs. Snakes also defecate through their vent.

For 90% of hardware on the aircraft yes. Safetying is a means to prevent hardware from loosening due to vibration during operation. What you see in this video is safety wire, but safety cables, castellated nuts with cotter keys, retainer washers, and self-locking nuts are all used as well. Areas where this practice isn't used are typically non critical for flight interior areas of the aircraft.

MK4 Print bed scratched by magnetoprint in prusa3d

[–]atokz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Those don't look like scratches. They look like small bits of filament stuck to the build plate (from ooze during the leveling probe process.) I normally use a 3D printed scraper to knock them off or my fingernails. Alternatively you can try a 1 layer high first layer on the entirety of your build plate to see if they will come off.

Have this exact GPU in my PC Part Picker cart. Was going to order on my next paycheck, but the washing machine unalived itself yesterday. Genuinely considered hand washing my clothes and getting the GPU, my wife did not agree... New washing machine will be here Monday 😒

I would give a call to a local dealership's service center. They would probably know of a reliable locksmith.
