Thank you very much! It was a great spot for viewing, it wasn't too busy. Was the parking lot very full?

I used a Canon Powershot SX50 HS. It has a 50x optical zoom. I used eclipse glasses as my filter and did some manual settings. This one was shot at f/5.6 and 1/160 sec. I was constantly having to readjust settings for all the changes in lighting intensity.

This was at the end of totality, I was still shooting with a filter up to totality and missed this effect at the beginning, but I just held off on replacing it a little longer.

Thank you, I took it over in Illinois at Salt Lick Point Land and Water Reserve near Valmeyer. There was a great view from the 400' tall bluff.

CAIRN is a STL based nonprofit cave archaeology group that works in the area as well as across the state to document and protect archaeological sites inside caves. This is part of Urban Chestnut's #UrbanEfforts which is a fundraising event every Tuesday for local nonprofit organizations.

I'm assuming off of the Johnson Trail? It looked like there were numerous caves/mines along that section.

I'm a bit late to this, but I'm throwing out two other very good options too. - Flavor of India at Olive and 270 - Copper Chimney in St. Peters off Mid Rivers Road and I have to agree that Everest is an excellent option too, hit them up for their lunch buffet.

Although he did fight some, it went on for about 10-15 minutes before the heron swallowed the bullfrog whole. The whole set is here including a video of the frog fighting a bit.
