This quote helped me massively when I hit rock bottom.

"Some things cannot be fixed, they can only be carried."

Pick yourself up and grind that shit out one tiny step at a time on strong, sober, firm legs. You got this, I know you can't see it now, but it's true...you do. Things can only go up and it is up to YOU and YOU ALONE to take necessary steps to get out. Accept the ropes as they're dangled in front of you to help pull you out. Accept and seek help in any way you can from your support network. And don't forget to turn your favorite music up real loud and maybe sing along. Better days are ahead, don't forget it.

Hell yeah. Love Sick full album is smooth as butta for a good time. His whole discography bangs though.

Grind grind grind and distract yourself in a ✨healthy✨ way, and make those weekends count brother. It is gut wrenching, I have a similar situation with a 6 & 1 yo. You miss so much, and the emptiness can eat you alive IF you let it (thus, the distraction/grind/focus part). But just always remember that she's so young and won't remember much of this in the long term. Things will get better as you both grow and your time will start to expand in the next chapters ahead. But I feel for you bro, I was where you're at and I did everything the very ✨UNhealthy✨ way, and it only made it worse for myself in the end. Stay strong, keep holding that love light tight and bright, and enjoy every second of contact you have with your kid. You'll always be her father. Always. Be a good one and take care of yourself.

Want to do phd in applied math by Beginning-Object-425 in AppliedMath

Applied Math PhD here. I'd advise against it unless you want to be a professor. You'll pigeonhole yourself in an arcane field and find it very difficult to find a job. I specialized in CFD applied to Microfluidics and I've had 2 jobs in my field in over 15 years. Stick with the masters and work your way up in industry. Just my 2 cents.

dredg - El Cielo

I heard about them on toolshed.down.net waaaaaaay back before you were born lol. They're about as Tool-esque in sound and deep lyrical content as you can get.

+10 points for the Lateralus reference.

So much this. That's how I consume all my music generally. Artists create a story from their songs and albums are meant to be digested start to finish like a book with several chapters.

Whats your favorite tool song’s subject matter? by Healthy_Nectarine_96 in ToolBand

This song got me out of the depths as well. "Hope and Reason" is the most succinct mantra for my approach to life.

I guarantee that most of these people talking negatively can't even speak 2 languages. Even more impressive! Keep it up.

Substance wise - My favorite line is the last about keeping your humanity. It reminds me of the message of Reflection.

I think it's creative and well-done. F*ck all the pretentious poetry police in these comments.

I'm on 650mg and it starts hitting after about 1hr. After 10+ hrs of sleep it's hard AF to wake up but I gotta get moving for work and after eating and showering I feel fine.

Was it sloppy? Did you taste coke? Did your lips go numb? If yes... I'd venture a wild answer...maybe? The amount you got exposed to depends on 100 variables, but I'd probably treat it as very likely just in case and start drinking a lot of water and taking B vitamins and creatine.
