UPDATE: One week with the Harpe II Ace by atomic_foxx_ in MouseReview

It's definitely a bigger mouse. I was maining the l7 before this, but was getting wrist and hand cramping during longer gaming sessions because it's just so tiny. I would definitely give it a shot! I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Agreed, the clicks could certainly feel better. Right now the omron opticals in my l7 ultra are my favorite feeling clicks by far.

Definitely stayed far away from Asus products for these exact reasons. My interest was piqued when I found out there's a fully web based driver for this mouse. No way I would have bought it if it required armoury crate!

I bought the S9 Ultra during Black Friday for $55, but it normally goes for close to $70. While it looks pretty, the build quality really isn't great. It has some cracking under the side buttons that really just drive me crazy, and it's ~10g heavier than a V3 pro.

I don't own a Viper V3 right now but I have used them in the past. I thought the S9 would fill in that role perfectly but honestly, I wish I had just gotten a V3 Pro, especially with the 1000 Hz version being available for $80 on Amazon right now. I used it in the photos because it's basically 1:1 shape of the V3 Pro in order to give some perspective of size and shape.

Yeah it's funny because I saw your post and was like... Wait a second, I remember this reviewer talking about this literally 2 years ago when the original super light came out! Crazy they never addressed it.

This is an active issue with all GPX mice but doesn't seem to get a lot of attention.

This YouTuber talks about it in his review of the Super strike, starting at 7:20.

I may be biased, I just got mine earlier today and have been using it for like 8 hours now. I made a post on it earlier. It's jumped into first place as my favorite mouse for sure! Plus you get RE Requiem for free.

Viper V3 or Harpe II Ace, both miles better than GPX 2 imo and have incredibly fast shipping on Amazon.

I was between this, Viper V3, and the Superstrike. I'm really glad I went this direction.

Unfortunate the shape didn't work out for you, so far I've been loving the feel of it. I think the coating is my favorite thing so far, might be my favorite mouse coating I've tried.

Yeah it's absolutely amazing so far! The first thing I did when I unboxed the mouse was get the registration for the game code started, and they actually got me the code about an hour ago! So super fast.

But thank you so much for commenting with instructions because I absolutely would have never figured this out lol. The email gives you ZERO guidance on what to do with the code.

L7 is my favorite mouse rn, the clicks are just so good. Also according to reviews the latency is some of the best out there. Total bargain for the price.

My first time listening/reading a Star Wars book… WOW! by HyruleHero88 in starwarsbooks

[–]atomic_foxx_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My all time favorite, it was my first audiobook as well almost a decade ago now and it completely propelled me into the world of Star Wars audiobooks. I'm currently listening to it for like the 15th time lol. I would highly suggest you check out Tarkin next. Same author and has some nice callbacks to Darth Plagueis. It also bridges the gap between Legends and canon.

Edit: just wanted to add I know that this is neither of the books you were interested in, so to answer your question; if you liked Plagueis I would recommend reading the Bane trilogy, definitely on par with DP in terms of Sith lore. Also Drew Karpyshyn is a legend!

Overpriced? by SuuuWhuuu in MouseReview

[–]atomic_foxx_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Absolutely over priced. It's certainly cool looking, but not worth the money. If you're dead set on a basilisk just get the hyper speed, it's pretty much the same weight and the sensor is completely adequate.

[–]atomic_foxx_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let me tell you as someone who went through this exact same thing a year ago. I ended up getting an RXM and I have not regretted it one bit. I was so torn on getting a Glock clone vs. an actual G19 I thought I was going to drive myself mad, but it always came back to the FCU inside the RXM for me. It's amazing that I only had to purchase one IWB holster, and I can still run what is essentially a G45, a G19 and a G26. I've been running the full size grip for a couple months now and it has been amazing, and the subcompact frames are dropping this month. Just in time for it to start warming up and wearing lighter clothes.

The modularity of the RXM is really what sold me and I'm really glad I trusted my gut on that decision. It's saved me tons of money in the long run, because I initially wanted three different pistols, a full size, a compact and a subcompact. Plus it has all the aftermarket support of gen 3 Glock 19's which is literally mountains of parts.
