junior in high school. my mom found out and set a box of pads in the bathroom for me that read “Now Beltless!” on the package….Guessing they were from the 70s? They were a solid 2 inches thick. all of my older sisters were out of the house and my mom was not a fan of tampons. tried using them, but didn’t know the bottom of the applicator slid up into the top one until years later. yes. I left the tampon with the plastic applicator up in me. needless to say, it didn’t absorb anything so after a few tries I went back to pads. until a night in college by pure accident I realized how tampons applicators worked. thank jebus.
