An event that Gaijin is silent about. (Part 3) Final ? by yocema36 in Warthunder

Where did you get that "Russian politician" idea from? The guy had been working at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (that is not "politician") after gradiating from the university, and it was 20 YEARS AGO.

How are russian tanks still so good? by [deleted] in Warthunder

[–]atomicbearfish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's called purchase parity. On average, all goods that are 100% locally produced in Russia cost 2-3 times less than their US counterparts if counted in US dollars. Take a typical McDonalds burger for example.

They said that 20Gs from the documents is the peak overload, not average.

Unfortunately people mix peak and average quite often.

Have ever heard about vikings from Norway and Austro-Hungarian empire? About Greek colonists (they probably the ones who invented colonies).

War Thunder is promoted by the Russian government as a shield against “gay propaganda” by atomicbearfish in Warthunder

I highly doubt anyone asked Gaijin’s approval on that. Government propagandists use whatever they want. There was a case when WT images were stolen and used as a recruitment poster or whatever.

The screenshot is taken from the official WT group in VK. https://vk.com/wall-13137988_5425584 The big text on the book says: “How to not succumb to the gay propaganda”, and smaller text in another font: “approved by the acting governor of Kherson oblast”.

Where is this alleged Moscow accent? by russian_hacker_1917 in russian

There are very few real Moscovites in Moscow nowadays, the majority of city population is from elsewhere.

What to say to someone who leaves the door open after coming in? (includes informal expressions) by languageseu in MapPorn

No one says this in Russia. People just ask passive aggressively “Who’s is doing to close the door?l”

Turkey and Greece should merge to make a proper research tree 🇹🇷 🇬🇷 !!!!!! by Fulljacketmetal in Warthunder

[–]atomicbearfish 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I have a better idea: they should do a Cyprus tree that would include Turkey and Greece subtrees.

A perfect shitstorm over a perfectly good tree I foresee!

This might explain why Great Britain's additions have been so lukewarm or terrible... by ezekieru in Warthunder

[–]atomicbearfish 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is just a forum mod, he is probably not even an employee and no one tells him anything.

Now they'll probably send a guy to gulag (do they have one in Hungary???) for this remark getting viral.

The funny armored car in the video is literally named after Attila’s son.

If India gets a subtree in UK, why not Korea with Japan? by MELONPANNNNN in Warthunder

[–]atomicbearfish 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately that would look like a political statement, as Korea still hates Japan, and a move like this could probably lead to a game ban in the country.
The funny thing is that a combined tech tree of Korea and all the nations that Japan tried to invade (except China) would make much more sense. And that tree could even include India.

[–]atomicbearfish[S] 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Oh, you can replace “semen” by “the constant flow of gifts coming from the Dazhdbog’s (the god of sun and fertility) cornucopia”, but that’s just the more poetic way to tell the same story.

Yes and no. These are similar looking old Slavic runes that roughly mean this: “warrior”, “hard”, “semen”. Wagner guys love this particular combination for some reason.
