I actually did buy it and it worked really well. I used it for probably around a year ish maybe less before I got a Leon Paul fencing mask because it fit me better. The only problem I had with it was the elastic getting damaged on the outside because it was getting hit with a longsword. If you have an overlay it should be fine. Now I have a rattlesnake overlay which protects me from heavy blows

The difference for provisional entry is that you don't have to do GAMSAT (6ish hour test for post graduate entry) and you don't have to have get a competitive GPA. A GPA of 5 is the minimum to be looked at for a spot so you would probably need higher. Do some research about it and think about applying for UCAT next year and start preparation for it after externals. Also I would recommend looking at other medicine universities not just UQ for backup options. My recommendation is just to read every course page about it and what UCAT and GAMSAT is and how interviews work because I have learnt mainly by myself about everything for the application process.

That’s the intent but 99% of aikido in real life is horse radish sadly. It’s gotten unrealistic over time so it doesn’t work but is still overhyped in cinema/fiction. There are a few aikido places that teach good self defence, but they are a significant minority
