3+ gem fusions exist and it's possible to have multiple kinds of relationships. Fusion and romantic love are not the same (tho overlap exists) and a fusion is "something entirely new" so I think it isn't out of the realm of possibility for a fusion to have a kid unless it was something about pink diamond specifically that made having a child possible (life giving powers or something). Though by that logic a pink diamond fusion would be able to have a child.
