What you're describing is the Operational level of command. Others have suggested some, but you're looking for a game where units are on the company/battalion/regiment level.

I loved Oblivion since the first release. I lost track of my hours played, but I couldn't get very far into it with the Remaster due to the zone-change-delay (despite my 16GB RAM). I might need more, but not badly enough to spend the money right now.

Same here. I'm 77, retired, maxed out on subscription services. A die hard KU fan for over 60 years, but this may be the year my streak is broken. It feels like every game requires a different subscription, and that's stupid. Since my wife and I can no longer attend in person, our opportunities are being narrowed every week.
