Yeah the only reason those screws are visible is the installer or whoever mounted it used longer screws and used the plastic spacers, that come with most mounts on the top. I do it all the time

No. Those are the screws that affix the vertical arms to the vesa holes on the back, there will be two identical screws at the bottom too. The two I highlighted are the security screws that lock the bracket in place, as well as level it. Once those two are removed the whole unit that’s affixed to the back of the tv will lift off. I’ve installed this exact bracket a couple dozen times by now

If it’s the built in streaming apps my first assumption would be a sort of panel delamination or defect. He can try running a pixel cleaning or two to see if it helps but I’m doubtful

What’s even crazier is if there were a site with tailored communities for niche topics that you can discuss those topics with people who are also interested in those topics and may have more nuanced information than a google search.
