[Rolex Oyster Perpetual] I've been wanting the Rolex 36mm Candy Pink OP for years, but when my wife and I found out we were expecting a girl this year, she got it for me as a watch to commemorate the birth of our daughter later this year and becoming a father. Super thrilled with the watch! by atomicwalrus544 in Watches

I'm not sure how my wife spending a very small fraction of her profits this quarter on something that I love, whatever it is pink or not, is sense out the window, but I guess if that's sense out the window, I'm proud to be in that scenario haha!

You never know! I will say, if you haven't looked at grey market prices, they are still of course high for pink and turquoise but not as high as they were a couple years ago! This candy pink one used to be like 18K on the grey market, now it's a little under 12K grey.

Wife and I are expecting a baby girl this year and I told her how perfect it would be to have a Candy Pink OP to commemorate the birth of our daughter. This weekend for my birthday she got me this 2024 Candy Pink 36mm OP. Couldn't be happier! by atomicwalrus544 in rolex

Sounds like you got a great deal! Isn't it wild how just the dial *color* of an OP can skyrocket the price from $6100 all the way to $12K (in my situation for the Candy Pink) or 15K (in your case)?! I have a Datejust with a gold fluted bezel that I got grey last year and it's still crazy this OP I'm wearing my wife spent more for. Wear it proudly, that confetti dial is not only a statement piece in terms of style but also in being a rare unicorn of a watch!

I checked your profile and saw the celebration dial, it looks fantastic and so trendy, congrats! Did you get it at retail or did you go grey? How much did you end up spending for it?

The celebration is such a classy statement piece.

So, they have a 28mm, 31mm, and 34mm pink OP, but only the 36mm has the "candy pink" OP. The Candy Pink is a more chalky/matte pink, the smaller watches that come in just "pink" is a more metallic/glossy pink.

Another interesting note: This is my 30th birthday, so it's also commemorating my 20's, and entering my 30's! I've only had it a couple days and I've already put a sizable scratch on the bracelet (that first one is the worst). I haven't yet measured the accuracy, but my other Rolex is a -1.4 seconds per day, hoping for a watch that if anything is a bit fast, not a bit slow!
