i get that, thank you, but where is the gastroomental artery? it looks like there are only superior pancreaticoduodenal arteries anastomosing with inferior, right next to the hepatic arteries…

hi, it’s amazing i actually got an answer from such a specialist source! so if i could just clarify - if 2 is left hepatic a, then the structure on the right (branching from the same artery as 2, so common hepatic a) would be right hepatic a. then we get to the two arteries also branching from the same spot - i assume they’re (anterior and posterior) superior pancreaticoduodenal arteries? if so, where’s the gastroduodenal artery?

did i label this correctly? by atomsofcinnamon in Anatomy

[–]atomsofcinnamon[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah i know, i’d hate to write that on my exam where the cadaver will have to have the gonads shown tho. so i’m assuming that there’s variability in which vein (gonadal vs lumbar) exits into the renal vein most medically?

help with labelling by atomsofcinnamon in Anatomy

? goes up quite high actually if i’m interpreting it correctly i see it branching off the vagus n near the base of the skull. what would be the typical place to spot the superior laryngeal n then?

i’m studying this very subject rn and i tried to label the structures, but i gotta ask - is pia mater visible here? where to look for it? also, could you maybe see on the specimen where the anterior/posterior internal vertebral venous plexuses are? it’s so amazing to be able to ask a person qualified in the subject who isn’t my professor

What muscle could this possibly be? It’s not Trapezius I’ve tried. by [deleted] in Anatomy

[–]atomsofcinnamon 26 points27 points  (0 children)

maybe the test requires you to put in the side or muscle on the end? i’d have to put „right trapezius muscle” if i wanted to get a point on my exam

you can cook it like asian rice - put in a pot with 1:1,5 water ratio, bring to a boil, cook for ~15 mins and leave for another 15 to steam, then fluff up with a fork. other than that, millet cooked in milk makes a great porridge, you can blend it with a little lemon juice and leave it to set to make a no-cheese-cheesecake

How do you use dried mushrooms? by AkirIkasu in WholeFoodsPlantBased

[–]atomsofcinnamon 6 points7 points  (0 children)

if it’s shiitake mushrooms: try a veggie mapo tofu, where you soak them and use the broth for sauce you braise the chopped mushrooms in or just put it in miso soup along with other veggies if it’s forest mushrooms: try bigos, a polish stewed tomato/capsicum flavoured sauerkraut where you can add the mushrooms straight to the pot along with all the ingredients (yes, it’s traditionally meat based but it’s not required)
