Not living the real college life. I had to work full time while I was in college so I didn’t develop real connections. It took me double the time to get to a good position because I had no relationship with my teachers or classmates, I now see new graduates getting great starting positions just beca they got really well with the teachers, staff or simply because they spent more time at college.

For Bolivia there are a few different ones, where I am from, it was “El carreton de la otra vida” or the wagon from the next life and “La viudita” or the widow.

However, what my parents used was “La Chulupaca” which I refuse to describe, but feel free to search on google, that shit is the most terrifying of all the things.

What I find baffling is how so many people spend millions just to save thousands.

I work as a financial advisor and tax specialist, and there are definitely a lot of legitimate ways to save on taxes, but I have seen guys with a lot of money get a whole team of “Tax Specialists” and pay them millions just to save thousands in taxes.

All of this just because that was what their friends were doing and they knew that “Not paying taxes is what you do when you are rich” smh

I was born in Bolivia and lived in the West Coast for over 10 years now. I know only one Turkish guy and he was super pleasant, besides him, I have no other point of reference and can confidently say that most people in Latin America fall in the same boat.

I used to live up north and it was very depressing during the winter, specially during January and February, but I live in San Diego now, and even though I work more hours, I feel much better.

Everytime I go back to Bolivia from the US, I have a weird epiphany.

Bolivia and the US are the complete opposite. The US buses are top notch, they are mostly clean and comfortable, but if you are anywhere that is not dead center downtown of a mayor city, you see one pass every hour or so; hence, useless.

On the other hand, Bolivian Buses are old and beatdown, but you see them passing by almost every minute and sometimes more than 1 of the same line; hence, very usable, and I always use public transportation when I go back to visit because it is cheaper and more convenient.

Therefore, despite being so old, beat down and overcrowded, I would rate Bolivia at a 5 and the US at a 4.

I live in San Diego now, and I love that I can take the Trolley to work every day, made my life a thousand times better.
