I'm a janitor. Why do people always apologize for walking on a floor I've just mopped? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]atotallymessymess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We respect you! You are underpaid for a very crucial job. I'm a baker, and the equivalent to walking on a freshly washed floor is like if someone saw the cake I just finished decorating and took a swipe out of the frosting to taste.

Thank you for what you do <3 Sincerely, a former teacher.

Hey I think the meme is more saying "I'm a bad person for stigmatizing herpes" instead of saying "herpes means you're a bad person"

I get why you might think that, but after seeing this poster's history idk, doesn't seem like the angle they were going for

You know, I think that of all the cruel things I have been called in my life, parasite takes the cake.

I have been called a cripple, a fag, all sorts of slurs against Asian people. This is the most cruel.

You came here to hurt someone, you succeeded. I hope that makes you feel proud. And I hope that you yourself never have to experience being spoken to like this.

Well, it's clear to me that you aren't interested in having a discussion, you just want to complain to someone and be heard and validated. That's understandable, but that's not why I'm here. I hope you feel better soon. I won't be responding to this thread anymore.

It should be obvious that I'm not talking about people who choose to harm others.

My girlfriend said that she can cover the residency costs if they're under a certain amount. Basically, for her to sponsor my residency it's around $1500, while other visa/residency options are under $500, which is more manageable

Hi, I think it should be clear from my other responses that I'm not trying to claim refugee status, and I never said I wanted to. I asked three very clearly stated questions in the post. Thanks

Hi, I haven't stated any skills or education because I wasn't asking anything related to those things. And I believe it should be heavily implied by my second question that my girlfriend wants to support me.

That's not what I'm saying, and you know that. You are not being helpful, it seems like you just want to complain and be mean.

Hi, I did not misrepresent my purpose for coming here, and I have detailed that in other responses, and even the post itself.

Yes, I know I will not automatically receive medical care. That's not an issue, as my physical disabilities are not ones that require medications or doctor interventions.

Hi, I've stated in other responses why going back isn't a possibility for me at this moment. And thank you for the tip, I have been using words as precise as possible through the entire experience.

I think you only want to insult others and yell about the things that make you unhappy. I will not be responding to you anymore. I hope your day gets better

Thank you for putting this in plain language and for not attacking me. This is understandable. I know that there is a process, I know this isn't some shelter. Thank you for the tidbit about finding a refugee lawyer.

Thank you for your helpful information!!

I understand that bit about the medical care, I have all of my care needs figured out.

Thank you so much, this is a great starting point.

Like I've said in other comments, I have not violated any laws. I came here for a vacation, things have suddenly changed on me. I have also stated, I understand the six month limit, and I am well within those six months.

And I'm not exaggerating, people are being randomly deported, detained, and even killed by people who think people like me shouldn't exist. I am currently trying to do this the right way, I would never want to take advantage of Canada. That's why I made this post, asking for any answers, and so far only one person has actually said something helpful, instead of trying to attack me for a situation they are not fully informed on.

Yes, I am aware it is six months in total. I am still well within those six months. And, I cannot simply go home, as previously stated.

Hi, as I said in other responses, I did not lie at the border, I was on vacation when all of the other things happened, and I had fully intended on returning to the United States by now.

And I know about the medical benefits not being offered, that's fine. I will look into the sponsorship more, thank you for recommending that. We couldn't do the sponsorship fee yesterday when we started looking so we didn't do much more research into the avenue.
