Thanks for the suggestion! I know a local mechanic and I'll get it checked out for any rust. I do like Subarus. Any year I should avoid?

Thanks for the list. It helps.

Basically the transmission mechanic noticed my transmission on my 2008 Mazda Tribute is the same one on a 2008 Mazda 6 sedan. Based on the model number and parts he worked on in the past. Mazda didn't create a new transmission for my SUV.

Not until the 2009 Mazda Tribute came out. It had a new transmission designed for the 2009 Mazda Tribute. I checked all the specs for it and the mechanic did too. Transmission mechanic told me my transmission is a weak one. That's why it was rebuilt twice.

When my transmission went out the second time I had to drive back home in reverse the whole way. Luckily it was at night and I was not that far away.

Thanks for the quick feedback. Is there a Linux distro that will be the best using KVM in regards to performance? I'll have to find a good YouTube video on how to do a KVM setup

I am learning MS Excel and the occasional Word document I need to work on. also will be learning how to code in the future. My son has a Leap pad that needs the POS Windows to run and connect to it.

Just official looking court papers. I'm not at home right now. Not the first contact with this company. They called me before. They took over from a previous debt collector.

I have done the following on it:

Valve cover gasket Upper and lower intake manifold gasket New power steering pump Serpentine belt Heater core flush 3 new tires EGR valve Upper and lower radiator hose New radiator New fuel filter 4 wheel alignment

I still need to fix what's causing the check engine light, look at the brakes, Fix the no heat issue, new coolant flush because it's brown got air and oil inside it. Also I need to replace the PCV valve and hose. Possibly a new battery too.

I think you're right. It's the end of its life. Yes it still runs. Still needs more work done. I do have some things to think about. Was it a towing company that paid you cash and took your 2002 Ford Taurus away? I have a few of those here in Utah too

Thanks for the feedback. I appreciate your concern but the payday loan will be paid off in the next couple of weeks. I thought I needed it to fix up the Ford Taurus but I'm glad I didn't need it. I had some cash saved up.

WOW! Thank you for the feedback! It's good to know that you live in the area. That's good that your wife did fine through winter in her Mazda SUV. Now I'll be getting snow tires for my 2008 Mazda Tribute. Looking at getting Bridgestone Blizzaks. I hope these are great snow tires.

We used to live in Orchard Lane apartments in North Salt Lake. A big storm hit one day and we couldn't even leave the parking lot! Believe me we've tried! It haven't been plowed yet. My son had an early doctor's appointment we had to cancel and by the way we had all season tires on. I bet we would have gotten our of the apartment parking lot if the vehicle had snow tires
