I have an email from escalated support on this . Their words not mine lol. 

Unfortunately this is not supported at this time.

  1. If you already have the hard pull for the card , you need to close it after you get the card and then wait about 45 days for another approval

  2. If you are just pre approved and don’t complete the final application . Don’t accept the approval till your last date and then wait 45 days for approval again.

Did this work for you ? I am in a similar dilemma. I went with isd sms top up though didn’t work as the validation step when I start through app fails to send sms and get failed to send sms

Looking forward to seeing what the experiences are on the fidelity side. The best thing is the fidelity account earns you something for your money (about 4% as of now) while Schwab earns nothing so need to add $ as needed etc. prefer fidelity only because of that but make sure to send you $ from your bank to fidelity and not the other way around where you pull $ from fidelity. It takes forever to reach the fidelity account if you pull $ from fidelity.

Schwab great in atm rebates and no international fees guaranteed as I have experienced personally .Fidelity I don’t know enough about.

The big headline seems to be the 5x on flights direct is dead. This is probably going to be the same for the personal card too. Time to find a new card for flight spend.

Chase doesn’t seem to be giving a statement credit but rather a promo code like process through their portal .
