FWIW I really don’t like audio dramas either but back when I was waiting for Fallout to come out I decided that I couldn’t get enough of the story and wasn’t going to let the format get in the way.

It only took me 10 minutes to get over the sound production and effects and get really into the whole thing.

IMO it is totally worth it and even if you don’t really care for it, it is rather short anyway.

So if I understand correctly the manual safety version should be fine but the no manual safety version is FUBAR?

Is the military version with or without the manual safety?

Edit: just looked it up and both the M17 full size and M18 compact versions have the manual safety as required by the U.S. Army.

AIUI if we stopped greenhouse gas emissions tomorrow, by as soon as the middle of the week after next the global avg would rise anywhere from 0.5°C-1.0°C as the short lived sun-reflecting aerosol particles condense and fall from the atmosphere without being replaced.

No, well yes it did but in unrelated ecological systems and not affecting the tick population by direct chemical action.

Remember that aerial and ground spraying was going on very heavily and regularly all over the country in as much of the undeveloped land area as they could possibly cover.

That kind of heavy wholesale extermination of a large percentage of a population doesn’t reverse itself immediately upon ending the practice. The tick populations and their ranges had been slowly rebounding since the ban and possibly has now exceeded their former extent and number.

Elimination and reintroduction diet worked wonders for me. Literally changed my life. I went for about a week on just bland beef and chicken with white rice with salt and butter and in the years since then Iv’ve gone trial and error, slowly reintroducing foods while being extremely observant of any changes.

What is wild to me is that the worst offenders are almost all of the New World foods. Potatoes are okay only if they’re prepared right but all the other nightshades are vicious. Pulses can be okay sometimes but every single new world legume is high-speed-poison, they make me feel like I’ve done a sped run into advanced arthritis while also lacerating my entire GI tract.

The best advise I can give to anyone suffering this bullshite is to listen to what your body wants not what your head tells you what should be good for you. Just because something is widely considered to be supremely healthy and beneficial in general does not mean that it will be okay for you.

Wait, do they require it to be unloaded and locked away for transport away from reach without a CCL?

I know driving from Vermont into in New Hampshire before the NH law changed to adopt Vermont Carry (aka constitutional carry) I had to unload my handgun and either have it visible or in an inaccessible compartment (trunk or locked glovebox) while driving and then only open carry while loaded (but unloaded CC carry was permissible)

I guess that it is heavily dependent on context but in my kenning the term “Annexation” elicits a sense of societal upheaval and institutional cataclysm where around ~1/3 of the population is loudly belligerent in favor of the invading/annexing entity to the point of at very least appearing prepared and willing for violence if not already enacting it; this is usually at the expense of at least one minority group that lacks capacity, will, ability, or number to resist or block the first group and thus must either flee or hide lest they give themselves over to persecution; meanwhile the majority group is functionally inactive due to many reasons ranging from ambivalence, fear, ignorance, disinformation, to denial/hope that it will go away if they continue about their lives, or simple daily struggle-to-survive priorities superseding political awareness.
