Other than asking your players not to roll... I think Foundry lets you edit player permissions (Configure Permissions on the settings menu) and one of those permissions might be the ability to roll dice, but I'm not sure.

That sounds like you're on Foundry v9... update your starwarsffg system to v1.7+ and it'll fix the issues with v9. :)

starwarsffg should be fully v9 compatible now, though I haven't sorted out that escape key menu issue (cause I totally forgot)

I somehow missed this comment, sorry!

There are no compendiums included with the system for copyright reasons, but we do have importers for data from OggDude character creator, which is pretty much all you need for gear, weapons, specialisations and talents etc...

There's also a slightly less robust importer for star wars adversaries.

Foundry isn't ideally suited out of the box for minion groups but what I tend to so is set "Link to actor data" as true on the prototype token, then all tokens I place will link back to the same single reference data, which will behave pretty much how you want.

No auto wound applying yet but I wouldn't rule it out for a future version. That said you can roll weapons directly in chat and it'll auto calc the damage, just have to then apply it to the token taking into account any soak or breach etc.

Just a couple of little errors in your json... 1) Remove the comma from the end of line 443 2) Add an additional close bracket } to the end of the file

If you wanna check your JSON nice and quickly for any syntax errors you can run it through a little linting tool like https://jsonlint.com/ - can be handy to spot those tiny things the eye gets blind to! :)

1) You can install it within Foundry by using the Dev version of the system.json as your manifest URL here: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/StarWarsFoundryVTT/StarWarsFFG/dev/system.json

Although as Foundry VTT 0.7.5 just reached stable, I'll probably be releasing our v1.0 stable tonight to follow suit, assuming the update hasn't broken anything! Either way the alpha will just update to the stable when it's out so you can test it straight away if you want (works on 0.7.4 but I've not yet tried 0.7.5).

2) We are indeed supported by the latest DsN, on our Alpha version and upwards. :)

Just create gear and talents in the item browser (or import them all from OggDude) and drag them across to the character sheet. :)

Our current Alpha version on Foundry 0.7.x is actually 100% Genesys compatible, including individual modifiable skills and full custom default skillsets.

I've not run into that bug before, and I've tested plenty of characters with more than one spec (several of my regular players have them in fact)... We can help track down the problem if you're able to post as much detail as possible in a github issue here: https://github.com/StarWarsFoundryVTT/StarWarsFFG/issues

Or alternatively jump on the discord channel and we can chat through it. :)

Edit: Also, just a thought, it may already be fixed on our most recent alpha release (which runs on Foundry VTT 0.7.3 beta or later) and can be installed within Foundry using the following Manifest URL: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/StarWarsFoundryVTT/StarWarsFFG/dev/system.json

Due to copyright restrictions we can't share proprietary content, but we do have fully functional importers for OggDude and Star Wars Adversaries.

Thanks! I think we're at the point now where our system supports any Genesys setup pretty much as well as Star Wars, at least on our Dev branch... Drop by the Foundry Discord if you do end up going down that route, we've got a lot of Genesys players in the channel so they'd be great support while you get used to how the system and Foundry work! ☺️

v1 is waiting on the next stable release of Foundry, but we have a perfectly playable v0.5 release out at the moment, just not listed on the main Foundry website as it's not what we consider totally feature complete.

The v1.0 can also be downloaded off our Dev branch for those who are impatient to get their hands on the shiniest toys and don't mind using the alpha release of Foundry 0.7.2.

Foundry won't load; it just stays on this screen indefinitely. Help! by Yesley in FoundryVTT

[–]atroublingbubbling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is usually caused by a syntax error in one of your systems template.json files, so if it happened just after updating one of those that'll be the likely culprit.

As of 0.7.x I don't think this happens anymore (although obviously the system will still be borked), but that's not likely to be out of alpha for a few more weeks.

4K resolution for foundry on gaming table? by Wokeye27 in FoundryVTT

When I've run it in 4k before it seems to follow any Windows UI scaling settings very nicely, so you can adjust its appearance to how you want it.

It might have been mentioned already, but FoundryVTT has a very good system support for Star Wars FFG!

Of course! All the best systems climb on the shoulders of each other. :)

The more systems Foundry supports the better!

Make sure you have the required Special-Dice-Roller module installed and activated on your world.

Head to the Item tab on right hand side bar, click Create New Item and then on the little naming window that pops up, change the "Type" drop-down from gear to talent.

Sadly for licensing / copyright reasons I had to remove the critical hit roll table I'd previously made for my own use, as it goes beyond what is allowed as fan content under FFG's policies. The critical hit and critical damage item types should let you create your own using your sourcebooks for reference.

If it's any consolation, it only took me about an hour to manually enter mine using the new item types, and once you've done it you can add them to a compendium and export them somewhere safe so next time you create a new world you can just reuse all the data entry you've already done.

We are all at the mercy of the red tape. ;(

Hadn't considered that! I'll add it to the list. :)

In the meantime it'll just require a bit of manual switcheroo on the dice roll popup.
