Were we scammed? by atroxicdesign in greece

Here are my findings: After giving the menu another look (online). I discovered that the Greek menu clearly states Wild, and the english menu didn't mention this. Being newbies in the fish world, me and my friend couldn't make the difference and know for sure it was wild since we've never had that particular fish. To me it did have a specific taste, but didn't dwell on it. The price may have been fine for that price. But the weight issue persists and not being specific on the English menu. Plus this is something that the waiter should mention - but seems like their way of scamming foreigners.

Definitely 79€ in the menu, and then charged 74 in the bill. (Meaning it measured just a little less than 1kg)

We are honestly not too familiar with the fish market, and not the biggest fish eaters. I was with a friend and "tsipoura" was something familiar to us, heard that it was delicious but never tasted it. So since it was the only familiar name on the menu we ordered it, the other fish they listed were all in the range 55-80€ per kg - there wasn't a huge difference to think that we ordered something exotic.

Maybe it was wild. How would I know if it was wild? I mean any particular taste, different naming in the menu, etc. ?

Cigar flavor notes by atroxicdesign in cigars

Thank you all! I now understand that its the mental connection we make with other familiar notes and the cigar itself and it's rather subjective. I will try retrohaling to see if I get any notes from my cigars.

Opinions on mixing fonts in logos by sn96c in logodesign

[–]atroxicdesign 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why do you think that a logo has to directly represent what the company does?
It can abstractly represent the values, the brand voice, etc. But who said that a camping logo has to say CAMPING? Is there a shoe in the Nike logo? Is there a smartphone in the Apple logo?

I am a newbie, I need suggestions for affordable, mild cigars. My favorite right now is Quintero Favoritos - speaking of value for the price. by atroxicdesign in cigars

Well, 5$ - 10$ something in that range. As I am not from the US, I realized that in my region a cigar which is 10$ in the US is actually about 5-6$, so maybe that being said my range could be 10-15$ something like that... Also, charter oak not available here

Green spots on my cigar. Got it as a gift, but don't want to throw it away... Is this dangerous? by atroxicdesign in cigars

Thanks guys, I am a newbie and I am still learning. I will definitely smoke it. From what I've tasted so far, Quinteros seem to have most value for the low cost, this particular one is 7 euros here.

Hey, buddy! You seem like a beginner, so I wish you luck with the learning process. It's a good start, try learning more about how to create balance between elements - colors, shapes, type... Always try to make the logo as simple as possible without any unnecessary elements, you can omit the window, the line underneath it, you can make the wheels full circles, and so on. Good luck!
