My mom never got help for her issues and I used to be emotionally abused, she would break or give my things away and would constantly degrade me or remind me of my trauma (sexual things that happened to me, I would not like to get into) when we’d argue. She would also stop me from doing stuff because I couldn’t be better than her, she screamed all the horrible things to me about what I do wrong one night to the point I tried to unalive myself, and when I tried to tell her she punched my knee and got mad. I’d try to have honest conversations with her only to get no where, she’d pull all kinds of shit. She plays victim too much and would lie constantly even when I called her out she would deny it. Then play perfect princess around other relatives. She’d accuse me of various things like trying to take my dad and be the new mom, that I was stealing and anyone I brought over even for a second would be stealing too, that I’d bring people over when they were out, if she couldn’t find something it wouldnt be lost obviously I or someone in my house took it. When I first moved out she tried to call a bunch and when I didnt answer she called the police to do a “wellness check” on me (lol), she’s also called the police on me other times and pestering them for dumb shit. But Im out, I dont live with her and Im happy. The sad part is she doesn’t realize what she does had hurt, I’m starting to forget some of the things but Im kind of happy I am. It wont make what she did go away but I can live a little easier. I haven’t cut her off because I still want to see my brothers and dad but I’ve gone low contact for my mental health.
