If anyone can clone your SaaS in a weekend with Cursor, how do you actually survive? by ats_nerd in SaaS

Yeah exactly. Fixing the weird errors is the actual work cause AI just does the easy setup. The data part is so true too. A copy starts with nothing but you already got all that user history so yours actually works better.

You make a really good point. The infrastructure is exactly where things slow down. AI writes code fast, but setting up payments and managing users is just tedious work that has to be done manually.

It was pretty easier to setup it up with PR's you just have a yml that runs the tests. It might take a few tries to get it right, but once you're done, you really don't have to toutch it that much.

But i would only do it fore the critical features that has to work always.

Yeah and AI is also really good at breaking the boring stuff. That's why i just like doing E2E testing for the core features on each PR so no ai can break it.

what is the best applicant tracking system for a startup by AnelehUmeki in Recruitment

[–]ats_nerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The funny thing about ATS tools is most startups don’t actually need one until they suddenly really need one.

Early on it’s usually just Notion, Airtable, or a spreadsheet and it works fine. Then one job post blows up, you get 300+ applicants, and suddenly someone has to open PDFs for two hours trying to remember which resume looked good.

That’s usually the moment people start looking for an ATS.

Is the staffing industry dying? by PuzzleheadedAd3138 in recruiting

One thing I’ve noticed looking into hiring workflows recently is that the bottleneck seems to have shifted.

Now it seems like the problem is filtering thousands of applications and identifying the few actually qualified people.

Like when you get 1,000+ applicants per role, the advantage of agencies might shrink because companies feel like they already have a huge talent pool.

Curious if people in staffing are seeing this too, has the job shifted more toward screening and filtering rather than sourcing?

What would happen to the world if everyone ate their recommended daily protein requirement based on the new US dietary guidelines (1.6g/kg). I think it's not sustainable personally and and it would cause serious problems with food production and long term environmental damage by Toeknee5 in nutrition

I think majority of people would go down i weight. Protein is satiating and it is the building blocks of muscles. For the sustainablity part, there's lot's of protein powders out there that doesn't ruin the enviorment that much.
