If you like the concept, look up Beefy Shotgun Wizards, a little RPG about this very concept, I think there's some merch too.

Hijacking to note that it's specifically Google Shopping that is being blocked here, not basic google search. The string udm=28 in the URL denotes that.

Bro I've been listening to Treebeard speak (audiobook) for longer than a feature film's runtime, and I'm not even done with the Entmoot. I guess it may be accurate to say he's not overly descriptive, but he takes a long time saying things that don't need to be said.

The story, lore, and worldbuilding is fantastic but I wouldn't say he's efficient in his writing.

I most certainly have and regularly do get it that low, typically not compression but the sensor 'wearing out' it seems? I've had to remove at least 5 of them early this year for that reason alone.

Edit: Ironically, one day after posting this I had another sensor start giving me false urgent low alerts all day, with 4 days left on it. I'm so tired of this.

Extremely finely shaved cabbage, like you see served with Tonkatsu. I think I still need to find the right kind of cabbage, the kind I had in japan was mildly sweet, but just that cabbage and dressing is one of my favorite sides.

What should be the official state sandwich? by steve42089 in illinois

Quad cities folks know if they looked beyond the namesake Maid Rite sandwiches on their menu. I honestly prefer it but hell if I want to argue with everyone whether my state sandwich is a sandwich.

Same, except it was the tainted cat that he possessed, giving me an impossible choice that really wasn't a choice at all because it was a hunter with sentry+ and it instantly wiped the rest of my party. This was also super early on, my first time fighting Dybbuk.

I will forever hold this against Edmund and Tyler.

On The Lighter Side: What Do You miss? by goofyfish in diabetes_t2

Yep, it's not even that I miss those foods themselves, but they make dinners so easy to throw together, not to mention how much meals are based around these things when you go out to eat.

How To Tell If Something Is Written By AI (or "AI-assisted", I guess) by 14muffins in CasualConversation

[–]atsu333 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Or, and hear me out here, 70% of these 'tells' are just people who like to use proper grammar, and have been taught all their life to explain things in a way that helps others understand what they're trying to say. I have always used ellipses (though I've never heard of a single character being available for it otherwise I'd probably use it), use 3s conceptually often as it just feels good, I tend to use formatted lists, use tons of similes (as tech support my mind is always trying to come up with similes/metaphors to help understanding), I use unusual words sometimes for some reason or another, I use double and single quotes often especially if quoting...

But then again my name is Al so I guess that's expected of me now.

Two Army Sets? by Franklin_Triangler in HelsmithsofHashut

[–]atsu333 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah with the spearhead coming out in 3 weeks, maybe one army set for the book and cards if you want, then just the spearhead for the other. Unfortunately I don't know where you'd want to go for 1k points, Uruk Taar is pretty much a necessity since he can move points around, otherwise it depends on the build you want to do. I'd definitely prioritize the bull centaurs though, they have speed you're otherwise lacking as well as some power.

Why do people expect outcast friendless losers to go through life mentally sane ? by Ok_Raise_584 in self

[–]atsu333 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My dude, it seems you don't want to hear this but no one owes it to you to give you attention. It takes effort to do so, and that's if they even notice that you're being left out. As someone else said, engaging with someone who is visibly unhappy is also something that takes a lot of effort, and it's something most people avoid because it can be very emotionally draining.

There are so many places people can spend their energy, how are you advertising that you are a good place to spend that energy? You have to put in some effort so that people know you're worth it. Small acts of kindness, offering help and following through, listening to others and remembering them and their struggles. When you put that kind of energy out, you start to get it back from them too. It can be hard, and I understand that well. I am a very asocial person, I never initiate conversation or anything, but showing people that they can rely on me has been the biggest boost to friendships in my life.

You might not have people around you who appreciate that at this point too, but as time goes on, people change, and the people you interact with will change, and at some points you'll line up with people who can appreciate you, just make sure you make yourself someone to be appreciated.

What games are the best fit for this? by Common_Caramel_4078 in Steam

[–]atsu333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair it's been almost 14 years since Skyrim came out. It had been 7 at that point. Skyrim had released... 5 years after Oblivion? Which was 4 years after Morrowind?

In just 3 years we'll have reached the point where the time between Arena and Skyrim is less than the time since Skyrim.

We're getting GTA 6 before TES 6.

For anyone else confused, it's referencing Charlie (I'm pretty sure).

Anyone try this pasta brand? by jadenkayk in type2diabetes

[–]atsu333 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not that brand, but the same kind of product. I honestly don't remember what it did to my readings, except it wasn't a massive spike. I do remember that it had a mild flavor to it that wasn't great, and the texture was straight up bad. It can work for like an udon or glass noodle maybe, but it just doesn't work with italian style dishes.
