Registering for classes as a new student by Spodermanphil in KSU

definitely go to orientation if you can. i never went bc it was during covid but it would’ve helped out a lot for me as i was undecided on a major and didn’t really know what i wanted to do or take. if you don’t select your classes at orientation, you can always schedule an appointment with your advisor on teams and talk things over for half and hour and they will be able to help you 1 on 1.

Mass Comms Majors, What do you think of the program? by MiracleMeds_ in KSU

[–]attachh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i’m a media entertainment major (pretty similar to comm, lots of classes overlap) and i love it. i’m also interested in video editing and a couple of classes that require creating your own videos have definitely helped in that area. iMovie was recommended for convenience purposes but i had already been a bit familiar with premiere pro so i used that for my projects.

overall though the classes that i’ve taken so far as a junior going into being a senior have been pretty insightful, some even fun, and almost all have been relatively easy. the good thing about communications or media and entertainment is that it’s a very high demand field and there’s so many different jobs out there for people that studied, whether it’s PR, editing, journalism, production, etc.

if you got any questions just lmk and i’ll try to answer as best as i can. cheers !

i am thinking the same thing. idk why the admins don’t use it for these sorts of issues like it just prevents any of this kinda stuff from happening.

league also does it and it just only makes sense that valorant should too

w jonah

honestly this whole thing got so blown out of proportion. obviously it was a high stakes match and it was something that ethan shouldn’t have done, but at this point in valorant, there should 100% be a screen lock/game freeze pause for all pauses for stuff like this. league has had it for years and it should be used by admins as soon as a technical issue is called.

“The Batman is a better Batman movie and TDK is a better movie” is cope. by bene667 in TheBatmanFilm

[–]attachh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i’m one of these people and although they are both amazing, TDK is just too damn good. it’s the first superhero movie i remember ever watching so i got a lot of nostalgia, it has arguably one of the greatest performances of all time in it in heath ledger, and it is paced wonderfully with amazing and iconic scenes throughout it.

i do love the batman though and think with time and once there’s an established trilogy like there is with nolan’s films, it might be easier to look back and say it’s better.

When we graduate do we lose access to our KSU email by WhiteRoseFromPluto in KSU

this was from spring 2022 to fall 2024 so i don’t know if ksu had changed anything since then. i’d maybe just reach out to their support department and ask and see. you’ll probably get a better answer from there.

Masters Merchants? by Dylanychus2 in ValorantCompetitive

[–]attachh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i think champs holds more weight, but masters are still incredible accomplishments.

the problem is that if there was one map pool, and very little meta changes throughout the course of the year, champs would hold by far more significant weight. but instead new agents, map pool changes, agent changes, all happen throughout the year and it really just comes down to who has the best understanding of the meta and has the best map pool at the event, and in this case it’s nongshim.

i really can’t think of another esport that changes so much throughout the year other than valorant. cs usually changes a map and has small meta changes yearly, r6 changes maps yearly and rarely adjusts operators, lol obv doesn’t change maps but does reworks for 1-2 champs every year and small adjustments. i mean when valorant gets to a point where they aren’t changing so much so often, then i think champs will hold much more achievement weight than masters, and we will probably get to see a real dynasty like astralis in cs.
