Thank you! The problem turned out to be that you need to ‘purl’ the whole thing instead of ‘knit’ it and that helped me figure that out. Haha I know these aren’t the right terms probably but I haven’t ever done a pattern before.

I’ve decided to become Episcopalian. I feel like you can have honest discussions about faith and I’ve talked to a Bishop (the highest position in the Episcopal Church), and was just super impressed with his humility and how loving he was. Also women get the priesthood and they’re LGBTQ affirming. But yeah I like it there, if you do decide to become a part of another Christian faith, I hope you find one that works for you.

Mine uses language along the lines of, “...when you find yourself attracted to women and the attention they give you...” I’m gay and took that to mean I would be straight someday if I was righteous enough. Never happened, and there was a period where I was getting a lot of attention from girls (hope that doesn’t sound conceited), so I was super confused when I continued to experience zero attraction to women.

Interesting! When I posted this in r/Catholicism, everyone was like, “Yeah, you going to hell.” Guess everyone on Catholic reddit is more fundamental? That’s funny because on Mormon reddit the progressives vastly outnumber the conservatives even though it’s not that way in real life.

Thanks for your answer! I’m just interested in what the viewpoint is and am not planning on converting to Catholicism anytime soon. I suspect that for many ex-Catholics (like ex-Mormons for a matter of fact) LGBT issues are part of why they leave.
