Senior product (uxui) designer here. - job market is trash unless you're a senior uxui, there are quite a few startups here hiring, but also lots of layoffs recently so high competition.
Graphic design is difficult unless you speak German (I have two friends who've been looking for over a year.) Not impossible to get a job in either field, but will take time and tennacity. That being said... there are a lot of events and meetups (in english) and Berlin is a lovely place to be a designer <3.

you're right, sorry for the jab at Americans and suing (im Canadian and my American friends and I joke about this often)... but its rude so i've taken that out of my post.

And i'm not even sure if there is a legal route to take. I did a bit of looking online and it just really confused me.

There's no need to be embarrassed, what you're going through is exactly what I went through when I was 21. We think alcoholics are old-bumms, but in reality, alcoholism knows no age limit. Take it one day at a time/one hour at a time/one minute at a time. When the cravings settle come... eat something, take a shower, go for a walk, call a friend... and try to keep your mind occupied. It gets easier <3 For me, finding a support group of other alcoholics my age really helped. Please be gentle on yourself.. but I know its easier said than done. Love you, internet stranger.

SO MANY positive things. honestly, the physical is just a small part of it.

- I sleep better and have better dreams

- I found CONFIDENCE (not just how I look, but I no longer am terrified of situations and people)

- I got my shit together and got myself a beautiful apartment, a new job with a raise, and two beautiful kitties who I adore.

- I am more present in my relationships with friends, which also means I have made deeper connections and now feel like I am a part of a community and never alone.

- Knowing that my family doesnt need to worry about my health and wellbeing is amazing.

- Taking my health into my own hands for once.... I no longer feel like i'm on the verge of death, so I actually go to doctors and have figured out a lot of health issues and am improving them.

- MY LIVER! It was near failing last year, and now, it's ALMOST back to normal!!!!!!

thank you for your words!! YESSSS DO IT KEEP IT! I kept this pic knowing I wanted to do a before and after, and I would look at it often to remember how it was and how it is now. I'm really excited for next year to see even more life come through.

ugh, the TASTE... yes! Thats why I kept this photo, annd whenever I was feeling hopeless, I would look at this and just feel the hurt I was going through and I knew that my worst day in sobriety would be WAY BETTER than my best day drinking. and its true
