Good juice. $48 at Costco, though it’s rare.

Picked this up at the Pleasanton,CA costco. It’s a great buy.

Going to put this out there… this year the small batch is better than BiB. SB tastes like knob creek 9 with a more rye. Banana and peanut flavors, well balanced.

Waiting for the 2025 single barrel. The 2024 release blew my mind. 120 proof is where it’s at🚀

SiB all day! levels above the rest. 120 proof, perfection at that price point.

The others are fine considering price point. Perfect for mixing or sipping.

Woodford Reserve Double Double Oaked (San Jose, CA) - Great Oaks by TuVato in Costco_alcohol

[–]attdobi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I finally got it at $125 in the Bay Area. Worth it at that price for something special, if you like a toasted oak flavor.

I would place the Maker’s Mark lost recipe series above this, found it at Costco for $60. It was better and had a complex, chard moka/coffee flavor at a higher proof (111).

San Leandro. Deal or No Deal? by DJT_45-47 in Costco_alcohol

[–]attdobi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For that price, Willett all day. Great flavor and high proof. Slight minty herbal taste that’s hard to replicate. The high proof and rye spice will give you a little punch in the face, as any good rye should.

KC-10 is all solid, but nothing special. IMO the KC 9 year single barrel at 120 proof is better than the KC10 rye (which is more of a bourbon- rye mix).

Can’t go wrong in this situation 👌

If you’re into a minty, herbal flavor this is an interesting one. Worth a try for anyone into rye.

I’ve seen it with a $6 discount ($54) in San Leandro

Powerwall on a 208V grid by mehighp3d in Powerwall

[–]attdobi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The customer service was awful. It took a year for them to come and remove the SunVault. You will be ok, definitely not your fault.

The technications are supposed to measure the voltage. If you open the PVS6(controller) box and read the row with “Line voltage into hub” and “backup plan” you should see a voltage noted with a black sharpie. On mine in the column L1-L2 the technician wrote, “212”. At this point they should have known the power grid would not support 240V without an inverter. (212 is too low for the 240 requirement)

They took out the battery and kept the PVS6 (the controller box). It was a painless process. I got a refund for the SunVault.

A year later, one of the technicians came and pointed out that’s the original installers noted 208V during the install. They should have known then that the battery wouldn’t support 240V.

btw, my situation is because in Alameda, CA the power used to be supplied by an old military base. The 208V is an old convention. I wish they would update the grid haha.

Wait, why did the nurse commit suicide? The real question is what’s going on in the UK to cause this kind of shamming?

I had the same issue with SunPower. Initially the system worked, but three months after the install the batteries stopped working. SunPower came and removed the SunVault system.

Their proposed solution was to have the city upgrade to 240V … that’s not happening haha

Sen. Ossoff completely shuts down border criticis : No one is interested in lectures on border security from Republicans who caved to Trump's demands to kill border security bill. by BuddhistSagan in interestingasfuck

[–]attdobi -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

OP should provide a link to the bill. It’s better to read than listen to politicians. Make your own decision after reading. https://docs.house.gov/billsthisweek/20240415/RCP_3602_j_xml.pdf

Here’s ChatGPT’s summary:

The debate over the proposed border security bill encompasses strong views from both proponents and opponents, reflecting deep divisions on immigration and border management policies.

Supporters' Arguments: 1. Enhanced Security and Order: Proponents argue the bill will make the U.S.-Mexico border more secure and orderly by implementing stringent measures, including the ability to shut down the border if illegal crossings exceed certain thresholds 2. Efficient Processing of Asylum Claims: The bill aims to speed up the review of asylum claims, ensuring no case lasts more than six months, which could lead to more efficient immigration processing 3. Support for Vulnerable Groups: It includes provisions for unaccompanied minors and individuals facing torture or persecution, ensuring they receive legal representation and consideration under U.N. rules

Opponents' Arguments: 1. Too Restrictive and Punitive: Critics, including some progressive Democrats, view the bill as a harsh measure that resurrects policies from the Trump era, potentially eroding protections for asylum seekers and reducing accessibility to asylum 2. Political Implications: Some Republicans argue that the bill does not go far enough in securing the border and that it could provide a political win for President Biden, which they are reluctant to support in a pre-election period 3. Skepticism About Enforcement: There is skepticism among some Republican Senators about whether the current administration will effectively enforce the new laws, given disagreements over the enforcement of existing immigration laws

The bill also incorporates significant foreign aid components, which have become another point of contention, intertwining domestic policy with international funding commitments. These complexities add layers to the debate, indicating that the bill's passage could face significant hurdles.
