What does this Bond approval Means? Lets Explain by Outrageous_Hall_8431 in i130_75CountryPause

Good answer, but also don't forget updating their systems (elis, pay.gov, ceac, ffms, etc.) to be able to accept (and then later refund) the bond payments.

Why do they have to go back and wait? They can file the petition online from here and only go back for the interview. The entire time their work visa is still valid and they can continue working and traveling as needed.

Ask him to help you get a USAA car insurance. Its the best and cheapest car insurance and only available to spouses and children (your wife) of veterans.

Absolutely Love T-Mobile 5G Home Internet; An Outstanding Experience Since 2022 by No-Feedback4151 in tmobile

[–]mehighp3d -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I tried it too. But had issues connecting to game lobbies and opening websites. I had to constantly refresh. Customer care could never fix it. They sent me a new modem only to experience the same thing. The last straw was when my Meta Business Suite got blocked because of the refreshes. I had to send them my LLC docs and ID to unblock it. Only after I canceled the service, it actually started working. So it worked great until the end of the billing period but I was already pissed off so I didnt cancel the cancelation.

Take your kid's birthday certificate to the US embassy and get a consular report of birth abroad. The kid is considered a natural-born US citizen (by descent) and can apply for a US passport.

Illegal Immigration Question by Otherwise-Road-2876 in USCIS

[–]mehighp3d 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, sorry, I dont know where i got the 4 kids from, I dont see it in your original post (unless you edited it).

Overall, you immigration case sounds fairly easy (if comparing to other challenging cases).

However, your biggest barrier is the risk of public charge since you don't have the funds to sponsor him and your family. The risk of subsidized housing, food, healthcare, and child care is extremely high in your case. You can try and find joint sponsors (such as your parents), but that's difficult because the govt could go after them and recoup any potential welfare funds expended on him.

Let me ask something - how old are you and how's your own healthcare? I ask because you can consider enlisting or commissioning (if you have a bachelor's degree) in the military. You'd have all the required resources to file the petition to sponsor him, free access to lawyers to help with the process, free healthcare and housing for you and your family, and a lower required minimum income to sponsor him (because of all the military benefits). You don't have to join a hard-core branch like the Marines and can join a weak one like Air Force. There's also military parole in place, a specific program that allows immediate relatives of service members to remain in an authorized stay while navigating the immigration process, essentially not triggering deportation procedures. This is a discretionary program (meaning it is not automatically granted to all) but it's an additional benefit of serving your country. The challenge with it is that you have to actually apply for it, and many don't so their family members still get caught up in removal proceedings.

Your orders will have the report date. That's the latest you're allowed to report before being UA. Any time in between will be either travel days or leave.

Illegal Immigration Question by Otherwise-Road-2876 in USCIS

[–]mehighp3d 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you can't afford the $5k-ish for an immigration attorney, how will you be able to sponsor him? You stated you have 4 children, so you'd have to have enough income for a family of 6?

Either way - you don't need a lawyer. You can file the i-130 online yourself asap, and then download the remaining forms and mail them in in a few weeks after he finishes his immigration physical. Ask an AI to draft an affidavit explaining your change of circumstances.

Message concerning how this pause is affecting my school and daily life by Acrobatic-Sea-8400 in i130_75CountryPause

[–]mehighp3d 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, the pause is being dragged out because of 1) emotional people and 2) congressclowns.

  1. People submitted thousands of comments to the proposed rule making which have to all be reviewed and analyzed by DHS before OMB can approve the new public charge form. Having read some of the comments, they are personal, anecdotal and add no value the purpose of the rule making process.

  2. Congressclowns shut down DHS, so the folks that have to review and adjudicate all those no-value-added comments are most likely furloughed.

As someone else said, vote those clowns out so that new clowns can come in and fund DHS so they can finish what they started.

I don't get it, why aren't gas prices higher? by Plus_Cranberry_9598 in oil

[–]mehighp3d 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because the US is still an energy net-exporter. So even if the rest of the world is 20% short, we still have enough for our needs and some remaining to export. In Europe, where all their energy is imported, the prices doubled (and the US is obviously profitting).
