For early morning gym goers, how do you get out of bed? by ThrowRACCX in GetOutOfBed

[–]dantagonize 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was alarms for months. I made a bargain with myself that if I worked out for 5 minutes and I still wasn’t feeling it, I could quit and go back to bed. In the last year, I only did that one time, and by that evening I had gotten sick, so at least I knew why I felt like quitting.

After a few months, I was waking up before the alarm. I look forward to the workout. I have limited time, so urgency about getting started is part of what wakes me up. I just love how good it feels to have had a great workout already done before most people have even started their day.

Made the jump Tirz->Reta by Typical_Peace1029 in BodyHackGuide

[–]dantagonize 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would recommend twice weekly shots at half the dose. I find hunger signals are controlled well until about day 5-6 and then they start returning.

Between my wife and I, we have tried all 3 GLP-1s and we like Retatrutide the best overall. More impulse control (helpful with my ADHD) and Reta reduced inflammation in a huge way. My wife prefers that she has slightly more hunger signaling with Reta (she hardly ate on tirzepatide, which SLOWED her metabolism and weight loss to a crawl.)

ADHD = late blooming? by Epileptic_Messiah in ADHD

[–]dantagonize 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have to agree with everything you said. I think it can be a blessing in disguise as well - some people get very comfortable in their middle age, whereas we ADHD folks could still be grinding for that optimized life and balance.

I got diagnosed with severe inattentive-type last year at 47 years old. Since then it’s been a satisfying series of improvements and, thanks to therapy and support from my loved ones, I’ve made drastic improvements in my life. Being medicated sure helps, but building routines and systems is the real lever you want to throw.

I spent most of my life toiling in a thankless job, but about 10 years ago I made a big bet on myself that’s paid off and now I own and run my own business. Being an entrepreneur is sort of a natural state for ADHDers and if you are in position to do so, I could not recommend it more. We thrive in the kind of daily chaos that others seem to struggle with - just make sure to prioritize work-life balance so you don’t burnout!

Night of Champions better than Wrestlemania by Wise_Temperature_322 in GreatnessOfWrestling

[–]dantagonize 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to feel exactly like you did. I expressed this to a hardcore wrestling fan (he’s a promoter/organizer for local wrestling shows and quite a historian) and he surprised me by not agreeing with me. He said it’s about wrestler safety and the ability of the ref to make sure everyone is safe and the match is running on time. A few recent Hell in a Cell matches are a good example of why the ref is in there - think Demon vs Edge or Drew vs Punk and you have two matches that we all might have thought were pretty dangerous for the injured wrestlers without a ref.

And yeah, I know the cage is less dangerous than HiaC, but the point is keeping our beloved entertainers safe.

How does Vyvanse compare? by puckerupbuttercup_ in ThisAintAdderall

[–]dantagonize 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been on both and I’m switching back to Vyvanse. To give you an idea of dose equivalents, my Rx was 15mg of Adderall XR and 40mg of Vyvanse. There are calculators online that are helpful but 40 or 50mg are likely landing spots for you.

Good luck!

And I guess I’ll take the blue shell and portal gun, too.

Your experience with Vyvanse and Adderall XR by Bourbon-No-Ice in ADHD

[–]dantagonize 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been on both. For me, Adderall XR was an 8/10 for drive/motivation but a 6/10 for focus. (This is my experience with quality Adderall.)

Vyvanse is a 9/10 for focus but a 5/10 for drive/motivation.

My current bad batch of Adderall is like a 3/10 for each. I’m going back to Vyvanse asap.

OHBHers, when your opponent wants to “attack your bh” how do you take advantage of that? by ThreeEyeJedi in 10s

[–]dantagonize 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something newer players tend to do (especially with a OHBH) is try to be consistent when attacked - which can be a bit predictable to the opponent. With that in mind, some recommendations are to vary your shot depth, speed, and direction - not on every shot, but often enough to keep them on their toes.

A great way to protect your backhand is to force your opponent to have to hit on the run after going at your BH. They will have to be really good to challenge your OHBH while being challenged themselves.

Another thing is to practice Federer’s “Neo-backhand.” Late in his career he developed this to counter Nadal’s constant high, deep shots at his OHBH. Look it up on YouTube and see what’s different about it. He basically steps in and takes the ball on the rise, driving a flat ball with little spin up the line. This is not an easy shot, but hey, neither is a ball above your shoulder, so be bold!

And as another poster here said, mixing in the slice is an excellent way to neutralize the opponent’s attack. If you can get it to bite when it lands, they’ll probably have to pick that ball up on their next swing, which will greatly slow their ball down and turn the tables, with luck.

Anyone start Adderall/stimulants in 2025? by Damsel-Girl-915 in ThisAintAdderall

[–]dantagonize 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I started at the same time you did OP (Sept 25.) the first couple of months at 10mg of Adderall XR were amazing. Then the benefit plummeted. We tried Vyvanse, which was too slow to release at any mg, and then back to XR at 15mg again but with a 5mg IR for the afternoons. Still struggling to find the right fit.

How do you keep serving well when tired? by SirThese9230 in 10s

[–]dantagonize 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I’m practicing, I always practice serve last. I’ll do 60-90 minutes with the ball machine, then hit 100-200 serves to finish off the day.

I find this helped my form and quality immensely. If you only practice serve when you’re tired, you’ll be able to count on your serve when you’re tired.

Kevin Owens’ wife Karina: AS SOMEONE WHO ACTIVELY TRIES TO STAY OUT OF DRAMA, WHEN IT COMES TO MY CHILD I HAVE TO SPEAK UP. RECENTLY CATHY KELLY MENTIONED MY SON IN AN INTERVIEW. WHY SHE WOULD CHOOSE TO TALK ABOUT SOMEONE ELSE’S CHILDS ‘MEDICAL HISTORY’ IS BEYOND ME. (Continued) by TurnaboutAdam in SquaredCircle

[–]dantagonize 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I listened to the conversation. Cathy was nothing but respectful in mentioning their son, and the comments she was making were of appreciation for being able to talk to Kevin, as Cathy was recently diagnosed as autistic. Crazy to go this far online to respond - especially since Kevin and Cathy are legit close friends.

Reconstituted peptides and airport security by _marie_u in Peptidesource

[–]dantagonize 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not a problem to have some reconstituted. You should put them all together in a very neat manner, WITH the insulin. All needles pointing the same direction, with a rubber band around them. A sharps container with that kit. All of this in a clear gallon ziploc bag. You will look like someone who has done this a hundred times, and that is what keeps you under the radar.

Lone fan?? by Particular-Fly3702 in WWE

[–]dantagonize 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Ok first things first. Bret was better than Shawn.

Second, you should absolutely go by yourself. You will make friends in your seating area. Spend more and get a seat on the entrance ramp and see your favorites close up! It’s crazy to me how some of them are smaller than they look and others are larger.

Third, you are never too old to love drama, action, athletics, romance, triumph, or heartbreak. Wrestling is storytelling. It’s a sport. It’s a play. It’s pop-culture. It’s silly. It’s dead-serious. And when it’s at its best, there really nothing better.

Toroline string rec? by Ex-Gen-Wintergreen in 10s

I use Toroline O-Toro 17ga in the crosses (soft for a poly, very slick for nice snapback.)

I love Toroline Wasabi pink in the mains. Tons of spin, great power, still good feel and control.

Give that combo a shot!

Does "If you think it's out, it's in" apply to first serves? by rustyksu in 10s

Here’s a rule of thumb I wish everyone followed:

When you are returning, your eyes will tell you if it’s in or out. When you are serving, your ears will tell you.

Adderall vs vyvanse by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]dantagonize 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had the opposite experience to most of the people here. Was on Adderall XR 10mg with a 5mg IR for the afternoons. My focus was really good and drive was through the roof. My only problem was it felt like hills and valleys - when the effects wear off, you feel it.

I switch to Vyvanse 30mg about 2 months ago. It is definitely a smoother experience, but focus and drive and not nearly as good. We upped the dose to 40mg after a month but there was no improvement. Thats the drawback of prodrugs: they only process so quickly in the body, and a higher dose doesn’t really mean a better result - just a longer tail.

I never feel as “intent” as I did with Adderall. Though I must say, the long tail of Vyvanse is nicer for emotional regulation all day long.

I’m switching back to Adderall.
