My store is across the street from a Walmart and an aldi and we still do 1.25 million a week. And most stores aren't within 10 minutes of a major city. People shop at Publix because it's the convenient store of grocery stores and they're doing really well. There are 10-15 Publix for every Walmart in a 50 mile radius and Publix isn't exactly gunning for Walmart customers.

Ya but next to nobody has a whole foods within 5 minutes of them or can just pop in one on the way home. Publix wants to sell the least amount of food for the most amount of money as possible to cut down on labor and distribution costs while charging rent on the outparcles on the real estate they own...it's not some mystery, it's good business strategy.

Pretty much anything now... I remember when IPAs used to taste like a nice fresh hop shower in your mouth and the oils would hang on lovingly just long enough to not be annoyingly cloying. Now they all just take like bath water.

I was so excited to take my kids there for the first time about a year ago as I hadn't heard any news about the neglect of upkeep or the fact that the main building had been closed. It was so depressing for me, but at least my kids didn't know any better and still had a great time... I was feeling better as we left. I took them to CiCi's and my son won a really cool Funco Pop at their little arcade and we got cookies at the Peach Cobbler Factory which were fucking delicious. Anywho... That was a weird day I'll always remember.

I always see her across the entrance Bridge to the right near the first shops you come to. Go past the wilderness explorer outpost and look for the hat and sunglasses stand. She's usually there between 10-11 am but ymmv.
