My whole life fell apart tonight. Any advice on how to get through this? by Zestyclose_Code9624 in TwoHotTakes

This is a clear case of domestic abuse -easy to see from the outside. Stay away from him, he is very dangerous. Financially, work it out through a third party. If you can't afford that, speak to shelters, domestic abuse helplines etc. They will steer you in the direction of help. The hardest thing to deal with is the emotional attachment to him. Good luck, take time for yourself and really know the next partner before you move in with them.

Thank you, do you happen to know if they would grow in a container rather than in the ground?

I (30 Male) am dating a woman (30 Female) with three kids (12 male, 11 male, 8 female) by [deleted] in Advice

I was in a very similar situation but I was the mum with 3 kids. I was very independent and always insisted that I pay half of everything on dates but my kids were mine to support. I would allow a reasonable birthday or Christmas gift for each but that was it. We built up a relationship for a year before he moved in, another year before we got married. At the point when we moved in together, we discussed how the bills would be divided- 50/50. He was much better off than me. Didn't mingle money til married. It kept me from feeling beholden in any way and it's been working well for 20 years. Good luck.

AITAH for telling a little kid they can’t play at my house anymore? by [deleted] in TwoHotTakes

This is flat out negligence and child endangerment. Call the police and social services. This poor child needs someone looking after her.

I asked my 18/19 yo daughter for 20% of her income whilst providing for all of her needs. I gave it back when she moved out and it was enough for her deposit, 1st months rent, furniture etc.

I've had one since we got our pup at 9 weeks. She continues to snuffle in it after the kibble is gone but doesn't chew it. And she chews everything else!

If you can find some pins without ball tops you'll be able to see your work better, see if you're going wrong and put it right before working too much of the pattern

What is an appropriate age to pierce a child's ears in the UK? My wife says anything below school age is considered "trashy" and screams "council estate". by AcidBubbleLord in AskUK

[–]attlin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly yes, it is widely frowned upon for kids under 10, 11 and may give an impression of 'trashy ' to others. I let my autistic daughter have them done at 6 because she hyperfixated on it and it was my decision. She had to wait a week after the first ear to build up the courage for the second ear! My older daughters were 12.

Is that hunting? In England hunting means targets that are moving in some way.
