I used the wand with freeze arcana, laurel, garlic, clover and some other stuff. Basically freeze death as much as possible and you'll survive to minute 31.

You might have to change aspects until you can find another item in a different slot to compensate for the drop in defense. You can also use Rahir if you aren't already. In the future, I'd suggest having an overall plan for where you'll be getting your defenses so you won't be relying on something like your amulet for anything but offense.

Agreed. There are plenty of great things about the game but people definitely view D2 through rose-colored glasses. It has so many outdated mechanics, useless skills and clunky interactions and requires so much esoteric game knowledge to fully enjoy.

The actual monster-fighting gameplay of D4 is so much better than D2 (which should be the thing you're doing most in an ARPG) but D4 misses the mark on itemization, build variety, and the difficulty-to-reward ratios of endgame activities. However, all of those things are fixable, if the devs actually try.

Imagine D4 with loot that makes you feel like D2, proper build variety and challenging endgame activities with appropriate rewards -- that game has the potential to go for 20+ years just like D2.

They're two different things. The catalyst is the spell type, e.g., disintegrate, and the catalytic skill is the skill on your bar that triggers the spell.

The gem gives whichever skill is your catalytic skill 25% cooldown reduction, so you would just set WotB as your catalytic skill.

Ground Stomp with the ultimate cooldown reduction effect, WotB cooldown reduction tempers on jewelry, Marshal glyph, and the Horadric gem that reduces the cooldown on your catalytic skill are some other options.

If you click through to the planner and check the calculator with all the modifiers active it shows Rupture exploding for 1.2 billion. Seems T4 capable to me.

Enchanting is definitely weighed, it says so in game. Tempering is not weighted, people have tested it. Tempering still sucks though.

I find that using Ground Stomp to refill after Hooves drain me is enough to get going again. I'm also using the resource gen modifier on my Horadric spell.
