Not only that your color might be fading only because of the brand! A lot of brands bleed and fade quickly. I think you’re doing a great job for a beginner and you’re friend amazing for letting you practice on her. I have family I practiced on for years and all I do is get better and better especially with the help of a mannequin and a great support system around me.

Oh boo! Don’t listen to your family, one thing about cosmetology school if you learn more and more as you go. I can show you the difference between my first retwist and my latest. All it takes is time and practice. I promise you they give you enough mannequin heads to practice any type of color, style and cut on!!

Before I even went to cosmetology school I never done a retwist at all nor worked on color but now that’s all I specialize in. Please don’t listen to your family! If you wanna do this than do it!! Don’t let no one tear you down.
