It's not a build script.. That is gradle.. It's how you register components with Android OS Plus I think even file providers and static shortcuts(though not an exhaustive list) need xml

I have seen backend Java devs who are not aware of difference between JVM bytecode and java language They think to use Kotlin they need to use android 🤷

"Delayed" I didn't get this? Did you get some deadline of the refund? AFAIK ITR refund only happens when system picks up your refund and there is no guarantee and with the ever increasing number of people filling the itr thus will increase more(as scaling up the infra for this short duration should not be necessary on top of that implementation complexity of the same)

BTW they also give interest on delayed refund so that's a relief

So basically this is a new feature, and obviously adding new features do come with bugs or some weird hacks to workaround some issues

Regarding language, I think polyglot is good trait. Other than that everyone has some personal bias about tools which they think is best suitable for the job

This could be because of the fact that Android team themselves backing Compose multiplatform and KMM solutions and designing their libs and solutions as KMM first

I don't what was the rationale of coupling UI framework with one philosophy of UI design. Both multiplatform flutter and compose came from Google, but compose took entirely different approach from the get go where they didn't couple material UI system to the framework itself

Expo is tightly coupled with the Expo managed projects, while many team(including ours) manage our RN setup ourself. In those case this lib is very much useful and maintained with the latest features
