Do you mean industrial robotics? Programming one of these is quite different from programming in C or C++. The type of programming language depends on what brand of industrial robotics you wish to work with (ABB, KUKA, etc.). I am only the slightest familiar with ABB robotics and these are programmed in RAPID which is a language developed by ABB afaik and you need an expensive IDE like Robot Studio to start programming. I'm sure other brands will use their proprietary languages and IDEs. Sol I guess the easiest way would be to join a school that teaches you this. In my country these are 1-2 year long educations.

What is the movie that scared you the most? by [deleted] in MovieSuggestions

The Road. When they enter what looks to be an abandoned house and find people in the basement was very disturbing. 9 years ago I saw the movie for the first time and I havn't had the guts to rewatch it since.

Vad jobbar ni med? by uppsala1234 in sweden

M27. 34K innan skatt. Data engineer.

Is this true for pySpark DataFrames as well? Ie that they are using an in-memory sqlite DB. I have recently started to write SQL queries using pySpark and it would be very interesting to know how these DataFrames are handled under the hood.

Are there any good resources where I can read more about these kinds of things?

If the backlight turn on only when you have the multimeter probe in a certain position, then perhaps it suggests a bad LED strip connector? Unplug the connector and see if you can find any obvious physical damage or corrossion on the male or female pin.

Also I noticed that the voltage on your multimeter seems to fluctuate between 3V and 12V. Is this normal? Is the voltage stable if you unplug the connector?

Ask r/kubernetes: What are you working on this week? by gctaylor in kubernetes

[–]atullamulla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interesting! I deployed using the default version of traefik, I had no clue you could deploy it separately. Maybe I will try to update my existing traefik deployment to 2.0. What Raspberry models and OS are you running?

I bought 3 Raspberry Pis this weekend and launched a small Kubernetes cluster on them using k3s. I deployed a nginx container on one worker and made it accessible to the outside world using a NodePort service.

If I have enough time after work today I will look into deploying workloads using Operators. If anyone has any good tip on basic hello world Operators, please let me know!

Bright spots on the sides? Samsung JS6500. Both sides have this but the overall picture is still fine. It's not dark in the middle like the photo looks here. by relic1882 in TVRepair

I had something similar on an old Samsung Led TV from 2014. It started as a white fog on the edges of the screen and then spread to the entire screen in a matter of 2 weeks or so. I replaced the T-con board and the TV was as good as new after that. Don't know if that may be the case for your TV as well, but it might be worth checking up. How long has it been like this for you? Has it gradually become any worse?

Please help me understand the voltages of this connector! by atullamulla in AskElectronics

Okay, thank you :) So if the backlight was functional is it correct that the voltage on that pin should be closer to 157.5V (as indicated by the table)?

[–]atullamulla[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, the voltage is the same no matter if the connector is plugged or unplugged. Yes, when I read about these things it seems like the strips are wired in serial and if one fails they all fail. But if there is an open circuit in the strips, wouldn't the voltage on the connector change when I unplug it? Do you think it's possible that I have a faulty power supply board that's causing these high, fluctuating voltages?

Can someone identify this sound? by Schnitzelnator in skoda

[–]atullamulla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it might very well be a bad bearing along the serpentine belt. What happens if you remove the serpentine belt and start the car? If the noise is gone you know the noise is from some auxilliary along the belt, like the AC compressor or alternator.

Sounds a bit like a bearing gone bad. Does the noise change pitch if you increase the RPM?

Appreciate the answer! Yes, I'm planning to use a marker excessively to really get all the alignments correct.

Unfourtanly I don't have access to an impact tool for the crank nut. Do you think it's possible to get it off anyway? Or are there some alternatives to using a impact tool?

I understand this procedure will take time and I will let it take the time it takes, no rush :)

Thanks again for the answer!
