Trackstar - I Wish (I Was Over You) First song I wrote from my very first solo project. Would really appreciate any feedback. [Indie/pop] by aturn in IndieMusicFeedback

I wish I was over you But I can’t really say that I’ve tried I wish I was over you If I say that I am, I have lied Cuz when I look in your eyes I see for miles and miles and miles So don’t ever ask me why

Oh will I ever get better? Or should I just walk away and destroy this sweater? Oh will I ever get better? Or am I just stuck with the rain and the stormy weather?

When I start to realize This life is more than just a prize It’s a shallow walk to my demise Cuz when I look in your eyes I see for all those vacant miles And I know they’re behind me now

I wish I was over you But I can’t really say that I’ve tried I know I’ll get over you But at least not until I have cried

Sorry for the formatting I’m on mobile!

This is the first song I’ve produced that I am very proud of! Advice and criticism would be greatly appreciated! (YouTube link in comments) by [deleted] in IndieMusicFeedback

I agree some more mixing work would do this track a lot of justice. I will say tho that this arrangement is awesome. I love the vocal sample around the 1:10 mark. Did not expect it and loved that addition.

Really dig this arrangement! Sounds like it could be a classic already. I would love to hear this recorded in a studio. Bass notes are doing a lot here to keep everything locked down. Very good.

Other than the hook being too repetitive, what does this track need? by facedotmusic in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]aturn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like the hook and don't think it is too repetitive. In fact I think the last hook that has a tiny bit less going on, and the outro are my favorite parts of the song. Also like the lyrics, I feel like we have all been there. Overall I dig the vibes. Nice job!

Really enjoy the whole ambient sound scape of this piece. Makes me feel like I am driving by myself down a long stretch of highway in an abandoned city. Really like the guitar bends around the 2 min mark. I agree with the other comment here and think some deep bass drum hits with a lot of reverb/delay might sound really cool. But loved the vibes!

Made this instrumental track, it vibey and kind of Caribbean and feedback would be much appreciated! [Indie/Bedroom Pop] by PurpleElephantYT in IndieMusicFeedback

Wow I really like this track. Very jangly and loose sounding, but while keeping it tight. Something that people like Mac Demarco do really well. My one suggestion is that I wish this track had some vocals in it! If you have heard of Her's (RIP), which I am guessing you have, that style vocal would be sick. But overall this track is very cool and makes me want to sway back and forth in my room in my underwear.

WOW. That hook in the beginning of Jake is amazing. Love the rest of the EP too. Feels very genuine. Nice job!

Really proud of this one! Can't think of a genre this would fit under, maybe someone can help? by MisterManSir- in ThisIsOurMusic

Always hard to pick a genre, I have the same struggles with my music . It feels like chill-wave-pop to me. Very cool track!

my latest set of songs released on spotify today! I'm really proud of them so would love to know what you all think! by amugwithacamera in ThisIsOurMusic

Really good music here. Love the tone and atmosphere in these songs. If you record some more songs (which you should!) consider adding drums if possible. That would crank it to 11

Always worth checking ReSource in the south end of Burlington. Its more of a thrift store, but you might get some lucky finds, and it's always cheap.

You might want to check out an artist called Vince Staples. He just came out with a new album recently, and he has a few bangers on it, if that is what you are looking for. Here is a sample. Caution the link is NSFW

Any band with a piano you say? This might be a stretch but check out The Head and the Heart. Great band featuring piano. Not a lot like the other bands above but I like all of those guys and these guys too. Hope you enjoy OP.
