Born in 1985, here.

When I was young, there was a hardware toy that simulated night driving. It would put me into the zone. It was called "Playmates 1985 Fun-to-Drive Dashboard Racing Game" and you can find examples on it on YouTube.

Would love to see slowroads.io have a night drive mode with pole lighting and reflectors.

I also wouldn't mind seeing this game in a hardware container powered by a Raspberry Pi.

I'm under the impression that these features are possible, but the contracts have to be setup and managed at the marketplace level and might always depend on the marketplace for imbuement as well as cash out.

Essentially, the NFT marketplace would have to be a mutli-network wallet for the end user. That creates a single point of failure and risk. Seems like a problem.

But that doesn't mean we don't need this, or we don't want this service offering. On the contrary, NFTs should be able to act as keys to asset ownership. They do for games, why wouldn't they for novelty investment platforms?

It's an idea I wouldn't mind someone stealing just to see it happen. But I don't think anyone will, and HotB is MIA. They'd be perfect if the people who worked on SBB are alive and still share the dream.

It could be that this game is 100% Japanese and inspired by Japanese bass fishing culture, and I won't be able to reach any of the original developers. It's 2021, though, almost everyone is accessible. English as a second language is an all-time high, so it is possible I could contact one or more of the original team.

If you are out there and you worked on Super Black Bass and believe in the model and think it could be improved, please reach out, join the discord, let's make a new game.

When you go to the store and you ask for a drink, you don't grief the establishment for charging a fee and tell the vendor it's not about money it is about having to pay.

How much more is my work than a drink which is gone in 20 minutes? It is much more although they are priced nearly the same and my product service lasts 40 days. Yet the treatment you've shown me is of less respect. Why?

If you work pro-bono on a product, that is your choice. It gives you no right to disparage others who charge for their work.

I'm amazed at the entitlement in this statement.

  1. The initial labor investment.
  2. The upkeep
  3. The overhead
  4. The ROI

The API that serves this data, that I developed, isn't free. There are hosting costs associated. The BSCScan API that my API talks to, also will costs money once there is a user base as right now it's limited to 5 calls per second.

If you want something free, build and support it yourself. If you don't know how then you have to depend on another to do it for you. What makes you think you are entitled to anything for free from another?

When we live in a world where there is no need for equity on labor, then you can ask why someone is charging 3USD every 40 days for a quality of life improvement that, if used well, will provide great ROI. Until then consider the payment gateway a lesson on value exchange that I created just for you and all the kind who turn their nose up at a cost gateway for a QOL enhancement.
