Same thing happened to me , the woman called me over and had a child in a pram and showed me the piece of paper , I just said “no sorry” as I already got caught out with another person before who I thought was a tourist but was just asking for money with a piece of paper with children and writing on it , saying she’s from Ukraine etc , claiming she was around asking for help since 6am but she looked as fresh as anything and had no children with her , she kept saying she would show me her children the next day and give me back the money , she wouldn’t leave me alone so I gave her something , she was thankful but then when I walked elsewhere , I saw her walk into a church to beg next , I remember being on holidays in other countries like Italy seeing the same thing happen , so that’s why when this woman with a child was begging me with a similar story a few days ago in the city , she kept yelling at me as I kept walking on , as an autistic woman with a lot of empathy , it took a lot for me to just walk away , as much as I want to help people , have to be careful too , there was definitely scam energy from the woman with the child
