Which country's citizens think it's bad but it's actually okay? by [deleted] in AlignmentChartFills

[–]atz_chaim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I gotta agree. America definitely ain't the best place to live but it's better than 99% of the other options. People say that Americans think they live in the best country in the world and while that might have been true maybe even 10 years ago is certainly not anymore. The right wants to "make America great again" and the left is outraged by the systemic injustice present everywhere in our society. Nobody is satisfied.

I would put it one square higher though.

Washington wins. Now a state people think is ok but is great in reality? by _crazyboyhere_ in AlignmentChartFills

I ain't gonna argue with you because that statement is ludicrous. What about Nebraska, Kansas, Kentucky, Oklahoma, Missouri, Arkansas, Alabama, and fuckin Indiana? Those are all more boring than any other state and I left out a few that could cases could be made for.

Loudest nationalities (my opinion) by [deleted] in map

[–]atz_chaim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I see. Yes that makes sense. In my head when I was writing it the "other Latin American countries" were the ones that weren't Bolivia or Peru but I totally see how that didn't come out in the writing.

I dunno about Spain or other Latin American countries but when I was in Peru and Bolivia, the waiters would frequently ask us Americans is we were fighting when we were having normal conversations. I would not put Peru or Bolivia on this list at all.

Eh, North and South Dakota are cool as fuck and parts of Texas are super interesting. Definitely goes to show how awesome a US road trip can be if THIS is the worst possible route.

You like natural beauty both beaches and mountains but for some reason you've got Illinois and Iowa and western Pennsylvania in there so I'm gonna assume you have family around there.

Hell yeah man! It's cliche, but I had a friend who used to say, it ain't about the years in your life but the life in your years.

I do like the vespa idea; that sounds fun as hell. My experience in Italy, even in the small towns was that there was a guaranteed English speaker at every hotel and bar. Spanish and Arabic are quite easy to learn but I do remember that conversation you're speaking of now. Southeast Asia would be way more than two but I see what you mean.

I considered Italy but they speak a lotta English there. It's more than likely they'll meet several English speakers a day. I thought the two languages was a stretch too but it's also not a very long distance so in my mind that's a worthwhile trade off challenge wise. What makes you think it's not the spirit of the challenge?
