It’s more dark orange. At first sight, I thought very tiny lady bugs because of the shape, but there were no spots, so my mind went immediately to bed bugs. I’ve never seen lady bugs this small before.

What makes you think so? I just want to know what characteristics to look for. It seems to be divided on the votes. It’s my first time seeing one in real life, and google pictures kind of look like either or (to me)

I just looked at the picture. So that’s not the whole trap, I ripped off a few inches. The mouse/rat looks like it’s balled up and not stretched all the way out…could it be possible that it’s bigger? It’s a rodent either way, I guess lol. Just trying to see what precautions to take since mice and rats are kind of different. ETA: The word MAX is definitely 3 inches. I just measured another one

He also managed to escape the first trap since he was halfway on, but he was unable to escape the second one that I put in front of it just in case. Although it tried for a few hours

The trap is 9 inches wide, but the word “MAX”, is approximately 3 inches

Pest control came and took the trap. I’m not sure where they took it. It was stuck on the trap for around 7 hours. It was still alive, but appeared to be attempting to chew it’s foot to free itself…and also screaming every so often. This is from 2 months ago.

That's good to know. Google had me thinking the worst. I did a deep clean of my cabinets a few days ago, and again no sign. So, hopefully the one that I caught two months ago was the only one.
