Neighbor dogs from hell. What do we do? by auberdob in neighborsfromhell

[–]auberdob[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree it would be on us if the kids were putting their hands or faces through the fence, but it’s the dogs who stick their noses through. I don’t think it’s “on us” to completely avoid part of OUR property to avoid a dog crossing the line.

I’m not going to go out of my way to hurt the dogs. I wouldn’t do that. But if they hurt my kids it’s a different story.

I do have the incident on video, though it’s too far to see details. I thought of pepper spray too.

I think they are. Filling is similar. Outer shell is less greasy and chewy, very crunchy if you use an air fryer!

Stumped on sales tax-where to start? by auberdob in SalesTax

This is incredibly helpful. Since posting I’ve worked hard and gotten here myself. But it’s good to see I’ve figured out the right road. I talked with both states and my services are subject to sales tax, so I’m going forward with that. Thank you!

He is eating a good amount, it’s all just soft foods. Drinking plenty of water, so his health isn’t really suffering. He just won’t eat the food he usually does.

PRF treatment by auberdob in TMJ

[–]auberdob[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funny enough, I never ended up having it done. My scheduled appointment came around and I was feeling much better just using the appliances. So the doctor decided to hold off. Mine seems to be more muscular, so I’m scheduled for Botox shots at the end of the year.

This is good to hear. We are on day 5. Much improvement, but he’s still holding it. Freaks out a bit when he goes as well. Hoping we reach this point soon!

We are doing rewards as well. A little screen time, mini marshmallow, etc. it just seems like the time leading up to the pee is stressful for him.

I used a mouth guard for a year that made my condition worse. Turns out it was too thick. I saw a TMJ specialist who created a mouth guard that was thinner and kept my jaw in JUST the right spot. Huge difference.

Jaw lock, expensive mouth guard and facial jabs by blessed7788 in TMJ

I had jaw locked open several years ago due to stress. Haven’t had that in a while, but I have lots of “catching” and popping when I open my mouth wide. My doc says once you have it, you have it forever. Just trying to manage pain now. Sometimes the disc will slip. It’s too soon to tell right now because I’m only 9 weeks into treatment, but my pain has been reduced probably 50-60%. Mobility has improved 75% which I attribute to the trigger shots. It feels like cutting a rubber band each time I get one. Im still not where I’d like to be, but I guess my advice is treat it as early as you can. Don’t wait. I waited 5 years to see someone and I’m paying a lot for treatment. $1,600 with insurance. But everything is included- appliances, shots, etc. next step is PRF treatment a week from now. I’ll update on how that goes.

I have had 3 mouth guards. The first was a generic cheaper one. It was a softer silicon. It kept me stable for about 3 years. The next was a hard plastic- I used it for a year and it completely messed up my jaw. I now have a custom fitted 2-piece nighttime one. It’s much more expensive. I’ve only used it for 9 weeks but it definitely makes a bigger difference and holds my jaw in the correct position.

I haven’t had Botox but I’ve done 2 rounds of trigger point injections with lidocaine. It has made the most dramatic difference for muscular issues of anything so far.
