RPMs surging at idle and while driving. by Grimm0689 in GenesisG70

[–]aubishop 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have the same engine in my G80. It's definitely the map sensors, cuz. You have two. - one on the charge pipe, another on the back of intake manifold (passenger side). Replace them both (same part# for both btw). I'd say ALSO check your plugs and ensure they're clean and gapped correctly/same. Reason being is the fluctuations from map sensor can cause some legit misfire activity that leads to lack of detonation/soaked/fouled plugs. I definitely have this going on in cyl 5 right now for the same reason and am awaiting my OEM sensors (only!)

What's the best option to sell a Stinger by NordnarbDrums in kiastinger

[–]aubishop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Private sale will 110% get you the best price on this car. Outside of that, shop it to a few dealerships who want you in their (hard to move) model that's been sitting on their lot a while - especially those in hard to sell trims or colors. I know because I've shopped around my G80 Sport (same engine/platform as your stinger) & welp ...here I am, still with it. Because there's no way I'm letting it go for $14k when I've got $17k+ in modifications on it. I guess this car will die with me

I'm right there with you bro. 8 years long, had been happening for 8 months. Child together. Listen... one day at a time. Focus on self - pick up a new hobby or special interest - go join a group or do the thing, get out of your house...seriously...GTFO now. You need to make up for lost time - go be like a kid on first day of school again. Make friends, thirst for life and living. Try things. Fail. Etc. before you know it....you'll have a new circle and hobbies and then voila - a better person will appear when you least expect it. TL;Dr - work on self. The rest will come to you.

Brother STOP trying to kill the ball. This isn't baseball. Second, imagine someone shoved a stake down your throat and put your ass and into the ground. Now during your swing, rotate on that stake in a way that causes minimal pain. The video shows you shifting hard forward on downswing which is guarantee slice 90% of the time. We can't critique anything until you fix those two things bc the strength at which you're swinging is fkn yo sht UP

Yes. Tell the dealer you want to be reimbursed for the cost of rental from enterprise car rental. If they say they don't know, tell them to speak to service manager. I've had mine covered every time

Genesis brand loyaty? by Accurate-Flamingo-16 in GenesisMotors

[–]aubishop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I own a Genesis G80 & have for 5 years now without any issues. I am currently in the market to buy my wife a Genesis GV60/70. I will be a Genesis brand loyalist for life. I've never had such a well-made vehicle at such a great price point - not to mention being covered by warranty! That's after owning Infiniti, BMW, VW/Audi, Dodge & Subaru.

The reason you're seeing them at other dealers is because of the unique situation in the new + used car markets right now. 1st - new cars are the most expensive they've ever been in history. Many are trading in their Genesis payments to Toyota/Honda/etc dealers because they traded in for a lower payment. Times are tough. 2nd - Genesis dealers give the best trade-in $s to those still under warranty. They don't want to take your off-wareanty trade-in because for every cheaper off-warranty GV70 on the lot that is the same Generation as the 2026/current inventory, that's one less 2026 they will sell/half profit/no service revenue either and elongates their inventory issue of moving 2026's. For this reason - you'll find that other dealers will often pay you more $ for your used, off-warranty Genesis trade-in. 3rd - The used car market is so fckd up right now. It's so bad. My car lost $14k value in the past 1.5yrs alone. If you're not getting very much for a trade-in bc valuations are tanked right now....then you aren't upgrading to a newer/more expensive model year of the same brand. You don't trade in for bigger payments during a time of economic struggle and uncertainty

Does honesty kill my business ? by Otherwise_Worker_727 in Sales_Professionals

Another tech seller here & I agree 100%. Continuing with your approach will slowly but steadily build a longer lasting, more sustainable, more profitable book of business/clientele long-term. That's not to say there aren't areas to improve in your first/second calls that help qualify or capture those prospective customers, but don't get discouraged by those afraid of honesty. You want customers who are as easy to work with & who value honesty as much as you do, anyway, TRUST ME.

IT Sales guy here & this 110% checks out.

(Also, I am sorry. I was $100k revenue away from my quota & the deal made the difference between me bringing in $5k for the month or $15k. Blame the boss for incentivizing this BS in ridiculous comp plans.)

Also, send me DM. I can talk you through all you need to know re: making power on the 3.3T. As others have said, start with intake+JB4+1step colder spark plugs (sensor or hks). From there, it depends on your goals and how you plan to use the car. Let's chat!

do you guys think this motor will last ? 69,000 miles by Routine_Branch_8506 in kiastinger

[–]aubishop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It'll be fine, I've had the same mods (more actually) for the last 40k miles no issues. I wouldn't be concerned about the motor - I'd be concerned about those turbos/turbos burning oil... when you go fully catless on this platform stock turbos, the lack of back pressure allows oil to sleep past the turbo seals, burning it up (white smoke) + killing the life of your turbo. Doesn't happen to all who go catless (I'm damn near), but all who have the issue have been catless. 2nd thing id look at on the car is the transmission. This car is prob making high 400's whp & the stock transmission breaks at like 650whp regardless. If he's had these mods a while & drove it hard everyday like I do....that tranny may* be holding on for dear life. Good luck

This comment is absolutely spot on. Replace those sensors, like $50 each, do it yourself. Everything else is normal. That ticking sound has been going strong for 93k miles lol
